Your link pops up with what is becoming a familiar number, opening the file you find a text reading, Meet for drinks tonight at 8. Back room party as always. Dress light, its hot this time of year. RedE EdE
While its warmer than usual, the constant mist and wind still gives a chill. The shadows have been quiet for the most part. There was a short newscast about the zoo, but the city still seems to be tied up over the murder of some old Lone Star officers son and nothing else gets much trid time these days.
As you arrive at Eddy's, you notice a new addition to his parking lot. Two police cruisers sit at the outer edge. The windows are tinted, but the stylish headlights seem to be in an eternal stare down with the troll bouncers that stand guard. Coming in out of the rain, Eddy gives you a quick nod and goes back to his business. The back door opens easily for you, and you find yourself in a room with a a large Russian man. Three orks prop against the wall behind him, striking a pose clearly meant to project the bulges beneath their jackets. As the last of you enters, the Russian leans forward in to the light and begins to speak,"What I have in mind for the evening is a matter of great importance. No details leave this room. If they do...you will find very angry, and I'm not a man you want to make angry. I have a package that has been stolen from me. I need you to retrieve this package and return it to me without any third parties tracking you. I am willing to pay you 50,000¥ in either nuyen or arms once the job is done. I won't lie, there will be blood involved and the competition will likely be very competent. If you agree, we will get down to the details." As the man speaks, a network of crisscrossed scars across his face seem to stretch into creatures of myth and legend, and you know that this isn't a corporate man. This is a man who has lived a hard life and managed to claw his way into a seat of power.
Anyone with organized crime knowledge skills can make a roll to see if they recognize the man. Pig already knows him as he currently pays the man every month (Larry Bale).

Rafa eyed the three orc bodyguards and smirked revealing yellowed tusks. Yeah, I could take you, punks.
He listened to the job, boredom clearly visible on his face. He'd take the job, just needed to hear where, when and what. The only real interest he showed was raising an eyebrow when the Russian bragged how dangerous he was. Something about barking dogs entered his mind, though experienced had taught Rafa that they do bite when prodded enough.
"Sounds like fun, what's the catch?"

Disguise, then Shadowing, then Infiltration. (13d6.hits(5)=6, 13d6.hits(5)=6, 13d6.hits(5)=4) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3162802/) Wow... I didn't even add all of my disguise kit and mask by accident.
He'd spent most of the two weeks with Dogmeat in the barrens, or doing some B&Es for the 162's, now he was back in his apartment.
After picking the forearm clean and sprucing up, making himself look perfectly human again and putting on his chameleon suit under his clothes he headed to the club, knowing he wasn't followed.
He snuck in, by-passing the KE outside, sat down and listened, "I'm in, do you know who stole it?" He was a little worried he had sometime.
He also assensed them all. Active Assensing. Last one is the boss. (10d6.hits(5)=4, 10d6.hits(5)=3, 10d6.hits(5)=3, 10d6.hits(5)=3) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3162873/)

"Pleasure to see you, sir." Pig says as he removes his hat, "Anything I can do to be of service to you, of course. Tell us a little about this package, I'm sure that we can take care of whatever needs to be taken care of to see it back in the right hands."
{Whatever you do, Pig, don't disagree with these guys. They know where you live... drek, they pay the bills these days. Just don't piss off Larry, and everything stays cool with Jerry}
-
"Sounds like fun," Critter said. She had her classical hat on and for the rest she was dressed like usual. While it was warmer it was nothing compared to the tropical jungle she had spend quite a lot of time in.
"Now we just have to see what the job is exactly about and then haggle a bit about price and advance and we're ready to go, I guess."
-
Doc grins under his breath as he tugs his jacket in a little tighter at the neck, to keep the rain out. 'Hot out' my ass, he chuckles as he rounds the corner to the bar. He sees the police in the parking lot and continues walking past, scanning them briefly in the Astral to see if they were awakened. Nodding to the bouncers at the door, he walks through. His hat and breathing mask was enough ID protection, for now, and he removes those once inside, double-checking that his commlink was off.
Once in the back room, he nods to the team and stands aside. He dips once more into the Astral, to make sure that there weren't any hidden surprises.

I think we've lost Boosts and Oni
Assensing: All three of the orks are on edge and wired to the gills. Their augs are a mix of high grade cyber and bio. Larry Bale is extremely upset (although he seems to be hiding it well for the aura you're getting). He has some headware and a cybernetic hand. All of them appear to be in good health, and none are magically active. You notice a spirit of man hanging out next to Larry on the astral plane.
"The package is a business acquaintance of mine that goes by the name Sharpy. He was picked up by several men dressed as Knights, and hustled away to a low rent apartment complex in Renton at Billings and 5th. I know nothing more of the situation so you'll have to find out the rest yourself. As long as I get him back, I don't care how long you take, but I want him returned alive. If you have need of equipment upfront that I can provide, I will take the cost out of your reward, but I do not give "cash" advances".

I think we've lost Boosts and Oni
Laz is in my game too, he must just be busy.
Living in both worlds at once his aura spoke to the spirit, the equivalent of putting his fingers to his lips and going "Shh" as he knew the spirit would see his true nature.
"Sounds reasonable."
@Team: "This guy is pretty pissed, he's making his goons nervous. Who is he?"
-
"So this Sharpy's gonna be happy we's fetching him for you or will he need some roughing up before he'll come along? And these men in KE uniforms, they might actually be Knights of they really just dressed like them?"
Rafa knew that for some reason, criminals dressed up as Knights or Stars. Probably considering it safer or something... In his hood, those uniforms only worked as bullet magnets.
-
"Tell him Larry sent you and he should come along without any trouble, I couldn't tell you it that'll make him happy or not. As for the Knights, I have no idea whether they are real officers or not, but I know that he has not been booked or charged and is being held against his will. Corruption what it is in this city, I give it 50/50 odds."

Him being pissed has me nervous too.
He's a who's who in the shadows.
Kingpin of sorts.

"Good evening then sir. Good luck with your war."
Getting up to leave he slipped trough the club and waited outside for the others, keeping an eye on KE
-
As Larry and his "comrades" make their way out, he hands off a burner commlink to Pig, "That's got a current picture of sharpy as well as photos for two of the kidnappers. Make sure it burns when you're done."
What is everyone doing now?
-
"anybody has contacts with KE," Critter asked when Mr. J had gone, "or someone else who can see if those are real Errants or not. Next I guess we have to do some recon."
-
"Checking out the place ain't a bad idea. And there's a whole bunch of ways I can think of to find out if those guys are real knights or just dressing up... most of them even involve violence."
Something glistened in Rafa's eyes at the thought of roughing up some KE guys.
-
Just how unusual is the description of Sharpy's abduction compared to a legit, on-the-books arrest for KE?

Pig will relay whatever information he gets from that knowledge check to the rest of the guys inside, make sure they've all gotten a good look at the pictures on the burner com, and go join Nameless outside.
{Now would be a good time for that rigger to turn up}
"Need a lift or anything? I gotta go pay a friend a visit and see if we know anything about either of these two *officers*."
-
"Sure Pig, I'll head out with you, The knights seem to be on the bar, not us. Maybe your Vory Overlord is under "surveillance". In a "we can't touch you," way."
-
Pig: From the photos you have, you're almost positive that the uniforms were real rather than thrown together costumes to help look like KE goons. However, if it had been a normal bust then Sharpy would either be in lockup (which he isn't if he's being held at the address you were given) or he'd be under witness protection if he decided to become an informant. KE Witness Protection is nothing the sneeze at and you don't think even Larry would be able to find it as fast as this seems (the time stamps of the photos are from last night) to have happened. They may be real tinmen, but if they are then this isn't a normal bust.
-
"While Pig goes to his friend," Critter said, "Who's with me to check out the location and see what we can find there. Doc, if you want I'd like you with us to check out the astral on location."
-
"Oh, I'm comin'. So them's maybe dirty cops, trying to put some pressure on to get something from the Russian? Or the guy we're after is a snitch and the knights needed a way to pull him and be able to put him back without burning him?"
-
"Let's try to get one of them alive so we can ask," Critter suggested as she stood up to get to her car, "we might get some extra money from Mr J for that kind of information."
-
Critter pulls to a stop outside of the old apartment building. At one point it would have been beautiful, but the cracked concrete and overlapping gang tags leave little of that world behind. At a quick estimate you'd guess that their are about twenty apartments per floor with six stories. As you crack the door open you hear the faint echoes of Elven Rock drifting from one of the upper stories.
-
Before entering the building, Critter first had a look around in regular space and then in the astral as well. In regular space for cameras, people on the look-out and that sort of thing, and on the astral mostly for spirits (and people on the look-out).

Street Gangs 3, Int 3 (6d6.hits(5)=2) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3178018/)
As always, looking for high ground with a view on the apartment.
-
Critter notices an obvious Security Camera mounted over the front door to the complex as well as the traffic light cam at the intersection, both have angles that could catch anyone entering the building through the main entrance. A scan of the astral brings nothing.
Rafa knows that the tags are those of the Strikers, Malice, and Thorns. The thorns are the most recent, covering the over two's tags for the most part. All three are local street gangs in Renton. The Strikers and Malice are very low powered gangs, but the Thorns have been known to occasionally get ahold of heavier firepower when they need it.
As he switches his enhancements on and starts looking around, he notices the two cameras that can catch the front door, as well as a KE Rotodrone sitting on the top corner of the building. He can't really hear anything over the Elven Rock (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wRreoNRGwk) pounding into his earbuds.
-
@ team: "They've got a KE Rotodrone on top of the building, that would be really impressive if they were fake cops.
More than a little gang activity too, but that ain't surprising in these parts. Let's see if there's another way in, there's two camera's and that drone on the front door. Traffic camera's can have a short lifetime in these 'hoods, but that drone's another story."
He started for a walk around the building to look for other entry points than the front entrance.. they didn't have to be at ground level, just out of sight.
-
Critter followed Rafa, keeping an eye on the drone and checking the surrounding buildings while her companion was looking for a way in.
-
There is a rear exit on the building, set up to a Maglock system and every floor has four apartments with corresponding balconies.
-
Rafa approached the back door and tried it, only to find it locked.
With a grin he pulled a chisel from his beneath his jacket and tried to break the door's lock.

Her hand close to her pistol, Critter looked out to make sure nobody had seen them trying to enter.

Rafa manages to wedge the chisel into the doors frame and leverage himself against it. For a few second it feels like its never going to move, then, as your muscle feel ready to snap, it slowly cracks open. Rafa bounds back into the shadows as the alarm sounds. You can make out on the inner side of the door an emergency exit ARO flashing pointing people toward the exit. After about forty seconds a security guard dressed in a Hard Corps uniform makes it back to the door. You see him talk into his headset for a few seconds before he resets the alarm and pulls the door closed. Rafa knows the lock is busted from the chisel, so even if its closed, they'll have to repair it to lock it up again.
Critter doesn't notice anything on the astral at all.
-
"I would've expected them cops to show up or send their drone if they really wanted to secure this place. Looks like they's confident enough jus' watching the front door an' the apartment they're in."
-
"Or they saw us and decided we were not worth the hassle," Critter said, "In any case, either way works fine for me. There isn't anything on the astral either by the way. Anything else we can do around here?"
-
"We could go in, find out where they are, take out those cops and grab our guy."
-
"I'd rather do that with the entire team," Critter said, "you never know what kind of surprises they might have up there. Things like spirits, drones and stuff like that."
-
Comm @Team: "So, you guys sleeping on the job? Critter wants all of yous ta bust in this place... How long 'til you can get here?"
-
"I got into Pig's car..... but Pig didn't..... I think he's gone, can someone come help, I can't drive."
-
Pig gets a commtext on the way to meet his contact, after a couple of minutes sending messages back and forth with someone he drops Nameless off and says he has to take care of some business first.
I haven't heard from Onion Man for a while, so I'll just run him in some capacity till the end of the run or he shows back up.
-
Rafa grinned and rubbed his hands in anticipation. "So this is going down now? Great! What the drek'd you guys have to do that was more fun than beating up some pigs anyways?"
-
While the rest of the team was coming over, Critter went back to her truck to pick up some gear she hadn't taken on the recon, like her sword. She wouldn't be taking her rifle for this, as they would be indoors and hunting rifles were not made for close quarters fighting. She would take her shotgun instead.
With all the gear she stayed outside of the camera range, so she wouldn't be spotted from the house.
