Here's one I heavily heavily modified for Excel:
http://www.chernik.com/shadowrun/
Enjoy.
-
Cool. Looks good. I'll have to try it. Thanks.
-
I've started using the generator. I'm stumbling through it right now. It's new to me so I have to find my way through it. I have a Negative quality (sub quality actually) Combat Monster. I can't find it on the list. Probably cause I can't remember the main quality (damn old age).
-
Hey chummer,
The quality you are looking for is called "Poor Self Control".
-
Thank you I was tired when We redid this & I couldn't remember! It's not on the list of Neg qualities after all.
-
Well you can find it in the Runner's Companion. (Page 107.)
-
Yeah... That one's next on my to buy list ;D
-
Hey Deep? Is there a way to make a Drake character using your sheet? What? I wanted to see how sick it would be!
-
Hey Deep are qualities from Augmentation not included?
-
Hey look! It's that spreadsheet! (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BGLRKJBX)

Making notes as I go here.
1> It's 10 pts too expensive on the attributes, it's counting the first point when it shouldn't. mininum = 0bp, min + 1 = 10... min + 4 = 40, min + 5 = 65.
2> didn't see shapeshifters in the list. No biggie.
3> Why do you have some qualities marked as not used and costing 0bp? Pacifist for example. there's the -5 and -10 version, yet neither work here.
4> I see you calculated the differential costs, i.e. taking sorcery (group) at 4 AND spellcasting to 6, so 2 pts of upgrade to the skill. Problem is, the sheet doesn't detect if the skills are properly grouped (all level 4, for example) or detect if specializations have been applied. By the core rules, you can have groups, or you can have individual skills with specializations, though it has been left as an optional house rule to do like you calculated it.
5> no pulldowns on the lifestyle+gear tab
6> Cell width causes some numbers to overflow. In particular: Cost for a rating 2 summoning foci overflows the cost field.
Still has a bit to go but good progress.

Is there any way to modify sensor packages on this spreadsheet. Specifically for vehicles
-
Well, if you want to dig into its guts to see how it calculates the costs for sensor upgrades, you can unlock it without any password.
But, it does present you with an upgradable sensor rating, right in the vehicle stats, next to the autosofts, but it also has other sensors in the vehicle mods drop-downs. Thing about grabbing them from the dropdowns is that they mess with the mod space math unless you grab an Improved sensor array option beforehand.
Personally, when I want to do something like yank out a barometric sensor and throw in a radio signal scanner, I just buy a radio signal scanner over on the gear page. Though, the gear page is a huge mess... I generally do gear by hand since DK's sheet has some costs and rules that aren't RAW, as far as I can tell (like upgrading things is at a discount, possibly based on the idea of selling your old whatever at standard resale %s.)
EDIT: yeah, a few things I'd like to see in that sheet are pages for sensors and eye/ear tronics. I always build some specs and some buds. It seems like everyone has some sort of image link glasses except for the robot eye folks, and they're getting to be few and far between. Might as well make building a pair a little easier. As well as handheld sensors. I use a bit of those. Good spy gadgets.

This is the SR4A character sheet I made. It's not perfect, but it's clean, and works well IMO.
The intent of the pages should be self explanatory, but just in case...
Page 1 is to be used for any/every character.
Page 2 is for a quick and dirty single sheet (double sided) character sheet.
Page 3 is for non-mundane characters (any awakened / technomancers).
Page 4 is for riggers.
Pages 5 & 6 are an "extended version" of page 2 for people that want to have a more detailed (4 page) sheet.
Please feel free to download and print for your personal and/or gaming groups use. Here are the links:

Feel free to distribute these PDFs "as-is" as much as you want. Also, I do take requests for new pages or changes if someone has a particular need for a specific character or a good suggestion, etc. However, I would like to retain full copyright and distribution rights for this as I am a freelance graphic designer and layout guy. So please, do not make change these sheets, and if you're going to offer them for download on a webpage, just provide a link to this forum post. =)

Yeah I cracked the sheet open (in a new save) and started updating stuff. However I have forgotten how to add to the drop windows since I last made an RPG sheet :-[ :P :-X

That's under Data Validation. In E2007 that's under Data. I forget where it is in 2003.
-
Yeah I got that far... But getting the data from the hidden sheet to the Character creation page is avoiding my memery(excel 03 version) ;) Hey if I put the qualities and like in the list before the last entry it updates the list... which kinda stinks for the Wealthy Quality.
OK I have added most of the Qualities from Companion. & I also added the Drake types into Qualities. It would be a while till I can get back the proficeincy to do more in Excel. Something I wanted to add was a page for basic statistics for Polymorphed form for shifters/Drakes and the like. I'll be adding Changling Qualities Shortly... For my own knowledge, do you think things like Changlings & Drakes be seperate from the normal Qualities lists? After all Drake quality exceeds the quality 35 BP limit alittle. ;) I was thinking of adding the martial art advantages (not just points but the advantage by name) & manuvers to this list also. What I don't have is someplace to upload it on the Matrix. Hint! Hint!
It'll be a bit of work but I have the time (and boredom) to try and getrdone. ;D

You can just make a list in data valdation. To pull from another field you have to name that range of cells with a unique name.

You mean like Bertha? :D

Anyone have a sheet that's made specifically for Metasapients and sapient AI characters?
-
Sorry to resurrect a dead topic, but I'm having some trouble with the Excel character generator. Most of the stuff I can hack through or figure out, but this is well beyond my knowledge level.
When i'm giving my guy Bioware, it lists the correct essence cost when I have no grade selected, but if I set it to Std or Used, the price doesn't change, and it sets the Essence cost to *Sakura* levels! As nice as that would be... yeah, that's not gonna fly :P Is there an updated generator?
Also, a few other nit-picks:
The armor for the Samurai sheet doesn't display properly for me
The Weapons sheet, where it says "put any character in this column to list" doesn't work... it just lists the top few items.
My favorite Quality, Biocompatability, is missing... any idea how I would go about putting it in?
Thanks in advance!
-
Most recent version can be found at http://www.mediafire.com/?uhzw6fpo91cp647 (http://www.mediafire.com/?uhzw6fpo91cp647)
Biocompatability is in it.
-
You, and whoever made and updated that, are my heros :) Thanks!

I'm looking for character sheets in PDF format. I used to have two good ones, one for awakened and one for mundane characters, but after my own personal crash 2.0, i lost them. Anyone know where i can find and print PDF sheets?

Are there any that you know of that let you fill it out and print it? My handwriting is terrible, and the blanks on that sheet are kinda small for me.

This one made by DamienKnight (linked to file) (http://www.mediafire.com/file/uhzw6fpo91cp647/SR4CG_DK_1p_fix.zip) over at dumpshock (thread) (http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?showtopic=23735) has a tab for a printable character sheet with all the info filled out from user input.
-
I will never understand why they made the stock character sheet in color. I mean, most people who print it out won't want it in color.
When it comes to that, the SR3 character sheets were way better. They were already in black and white, and looked good when printed out on paper. Plus they had a "Notes" and "Gear" section. Don't get me wrong, I like the SR4 sheet, it's just those two things.
PLus, Ranged and Melee weapons don't need two different sections. They only have one different stat, after all.
-
Ok, quick one here. Any fillable PDF's, not excel sheets? I love the excel generators, but also love writing sheets out, because few excel sheets can plan ahead for the crazy crap I do.
-
While not a generator, I've stuck with using www.Coyotecode.net/profiler (http://www.Coyotecode.net/profiler) for all my charsheet needs. True it's a little cramped, but there's unlimited space in the notes section, and you can write fairly long descriptions on the lines, save the sheet, and then mouse over the line to get the full description you typed. What's also nice is that they have charsheets for multiple systems.

The guys over at wolflair.com are going to be releasing Shadowrun for their Herolab program at Gencon (3rd-4th August)
To use fully i.e all options and the ability to print and save will be quite expensive. However I've found the basic demo useful for nWoD and Pathfinder to gen the character. Then I just copy it down onto a hard-copy sheet, without having to faf about with point costs and looking through differn't books.
