I'm sure this issue has been discussed in threads before but I couldn't find a thread dedicated to maps, or rather the absence of, in SR.
Anyone know of a site/source that has a good collection or database of SR related floor maps or even maps that could pass for SR?
Seems like there should be a good collection somewhere but everything I found was either pretty sparce or now defunct.
Thanks in advance.

If you want to hop a time machine, Sprawl Sites (7103) was released in 1990. It contains about 30 maps for various archetype locations like bars, shops, banks, and apartments of various sizes, and so on. It also includes a rough approximation of what the Matrix security would be like, if you can read the 1st edition rules-speak. I used a map from it for a run last week.
There is another resource called Sprawl Maps (7401) but it only includes 7 maps. They are large and in full color - appropriate for laying out on a table with figurines - but probably not worth the pretty nuyen it will cost you to pick up (if you can find it).

I'm kinda fond of http://www.wbdg.org/design/spacetypes.php (http://www.wbdg.org/design/spacetypes.php) as a starting point. You can also slip in multiples of the modular plans at http://www.anchormodular.com/floor%20plans.htm (http://www.anchormodular.com/floor%20plans.htm).
Several building plans for government buildings are kept online as well. Simplistic plans (not showing all the details, but enough for game use) can be found for a lot of hotels and other businesses. I use that sort of thing when I see an interesting building and want to incorporate it. Say for example the Space Needle (http://www.spaceneedle.com/events/floorplan.html)

You always have to be fond of a building built by the Pentagram Corporation. I mean that just screams for big nasty plots around it. Of course the controlling corporation now is the Space Needle Corporation or something similarly unoriginal, but you know those original designers had something twisted up their sleeves.

I like Critical Locations (D20 Modern) or Thrilling Locations (old-school James Bond RPG) as sources of maps. And aren't there maps in the Runner's Toolkit now?

There's a handful of maps in the Runner's Toolkit.
But if you want maps you can print out easily and mark up to your heart's content... (http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product_info.php?cPath=4328_6361&products_id=2768&it=1) Stats are old, but building floorplans haven't changed that much.

Mmm... delicious book.

Yeah, I enjoy it. ;D
Another one of those I kick myself for not getting my my FLGS back home. *Sighs* Not like I had a group to play it with or anything...
