Even with a troll, playing a barely augmented mundane is not a good idea, especially for someone who seems to be focused on combat. Something as simple as muscle toner: 2 and wired reflexes: 1, which is just under 4 BP worth of resources, would make a significant difference.
5 body is a touch low. If you want to optimize, you may want to lose some strength to up your body, maybe meeting in the middle. Thanks for your help.
<<I fixed that>>
Heavy weapons aren't a skill group, rather they are a single skill.
<<That is how i had it in the creator but I broke it in the conversion to the forum>>
Natural Hardening is an odd choice for a non-hacker, your unlikely to encounter black IC.
<< my bad. but when i was looking threw the traits i found the Tough as Nails is better then Toughness any way.>>
Pig Latin wouldn't really be a language of it's own, if anything a dialectic of English?
<< I removed Pig Latin and replaced it with Or'zet. may be i will add it later>>
You may want some kind of backup weapon to carry when not able to haul out the big gun. A rank or so in Pistols would be good.
<< i took Automatics to take advantage of my strength for recoil>>
I'd suggest trying out the Chummer character creator. You can find it on Google pretty easy.
<<with your suggestion i tried Chummer. I was using SR4CharGen it is similar and i like it a little more.
48 points is A LOT of BP to put into contacts. I can understand the loyalty rating for the twin sister and her husband, but last time I checked, unless they're really high up on the corporate chain, they are never going to have a connection rating of 6, and just calling them after a successful run against their corp can risk their job and lifestyle. So having a connection rating of 2-3 would be more appropriate.
<<I dropped all connections to 3 exept for the bar owner and the now gang leader.>>
But also considering that your troll has a charisma of 1... and no influence skills I don't see a brash unempathetic troll gaining a weapons dealer and club owner as best buddies for life, but thats just me.
<<Intimidation isn't a infuence skill?>>
I think a Loyalty1/Connection6 Infobroker and Fixer can get you better results in-game and roleplaywise considering it will be just a 'business only' relationship.
<<I Changed the the troll to gang leader via Argents suggestion and made him 2/6 as a compromise I all so adjusted the rest down >>
Taking just that, you get 15ish BP back to but into gear, giving you 45,000 nuyen worth of more gear.
<< dun and dun>>
Also going to the qualities, I agree with Joush on Natural Hardening, did you think it gave you hardened troll armor or something? Because honestly thats what I thought when I first saw it in the character generators, so it's no biggie.
<< you are correct>>
Toughness is only a useful quality if you've maxed out your body and still want more damage redux, or if you capped your stats at 200bp, which by your math at the bottom you didn't, so you might as well dump the quality and buy one more point in body.
<< my math was wrong>>
Security design under active skills should be in knowledge skills.
<< got it>>
But judging over it all generally, if you wanted to be an average stats skill monkey, it would've been better if you just went a mundane human with muscle augmentation and save yourself 15ish BP on the metatype.
<<but i wanted a Troll and i want to do what i think a troll wold logically be good at. He is not average any more>>

<<I Pimped him out and it looks better to me. Thanks.>>
Since Heavy Weapons are a seperate Skill and not a Skill Group, you have 30 bp to augment your Body Strength and Augmentations.
<<I did that by mistake while transferring it from the Character Generator. Thanks for pointing it out>>
<< Thanks for your help>>Even with a troll, playing a barely augmented mundane is not a good idea, especially for someone who seems to be focused on combat. Completely agree with Glyph. If you are focusing on combat, those two additions are going to help significantly. Also I'd lower your contact's ratings for the family members and pump up that Body stat. Being a Troll, I'd ideally see a Body stat of at least 7, but that's just my opinion. ;)
<<OK thanks for the consensus>>
Regarding the contacts themselves, I'd also consider dropping some point values to add variety. A fixer is nice to have unless you are playing in a group who is using that fixer for everyone. Over time, that fixer could conceivably become a contact. Also consider a Lone Star / Knight Errant contact. They can sometimes help bail you out of messy situations or when you get in a pinch with the law (obviously a GM is going to limit exactly how much they can do).
<< A very good Idea. Sorry i didn't use it but i feel Tug would avoid the law at all cost and as tighter connections with street level crime. As for mixing up the Loyalty and Connection, it made sense to me so i did it.>>
Your basic problems boil down to:Thanks for your help
a) One trick pony
<<OK>>
b) Not very good at trick
<<Harsh but true>>
The main sources of this are having bad things (ambidexterity on a character who has no reason to use two weapons, ever, toughness (it costs as much as body and is objectively worse), natural hardening, cyberears, and cybereyes) and not having good things (good cyber and bio ware, willpower, and intuition, mostly).
<<Good point so i went threw Augmentations to find better stuff. I all so got goggles and earbuds rather then implants>>
Minor point: clubs is a bad weapon skill unless you plan to use shock weapons, but those are good for low-strength people. Blades or Unarmed is much better if you do have high strength.
<<i switched out the club for Blades and a Pole arm.>>
Take a look at the characters in my signature for some examples; you might want to just browse, or you might want to take one of them and modify. In particular, the Combat Hacker is relatively close to what you want, except you want Heavy Weapons instead of Automatics and you don't want hacking skills or abilities. <<I looked at your examples. I have had trouble in other games using something that i hadn't built and therefor had little knowledge if what does what. I did however use the Automatics and Executive Protector Idea.>> The Ghost is a different sort of heavy weapons user and you might want to look at that one for some useful heavy weapons to pick up later (since you can't start with the best ones).<< i will try to remember that when i get some karma>>>
For starting heavy weapons, I would recommend replacing the Stoner-Ares M202 with an Ingram White Knight, losing 1 point of AP but gaining lots of base recoil compensation.<<I Switched out the M202 per your suggestion>> Also, grenade launchers, especially the semi-automatic ArmTech ones, are also good, both for their relative conceal-ability and for the versatility that a variety of mini-grenades can give you in combat. Thanks for your help.
<<After all was said and dun a couldn't afford another Big Gun>>
I would recommend you spend your full 200 BP allowance on attributes. Probably best to start with Body. For a troll, he is pretty small, yet still quite wiry and muscled. Probably can do backflips with that agility and strength and the low weight suggested by a low Body.
<< good call >>
Heavy weapons is not a skill group, it is a skill. Unless your GM is doing something different.
<<thanks for you consensus >>
Security design is a knowledge skill, not an active skill.
<<good eye>>
What is the xxxxxx skill?
<<What ever you want it to be baby>>
Most GMs will never allow even ONE 6/6 Contact, let alone 4. I suggest dropping the connection of the sister by 2, the connection of the husband by 1 and the loyalty by 1, the connection of the dealer by 4 and then include in your back story why he is so loyal, and the connection of the club owner by 3 and then explain the loyalty or drop it. Then use those BPs on Attributes and resources.
<< I adjusted the contacts down>>
I recommend some more augmentation, but it depends on the campaign. Is this a street level ganger campaign, or a low level shadowrunner campaign where the combat monsters do not have additional Initiative Passes? Do you know about the Initiative Pass system?
<< i had read about the Initiative Pass System but i didn't know how to put into practice. I looked over the rule book again and Augmented my Initiative passes up as high as i could.>>
You only spent 374 BP. 40 plus 150 is 190, plus 10 is 200, plus 98 is 298, plus 35 is 333, minus 25 is 308, plus 18 is 326, plus 48 is 374.
<<My math was off this time i just took a screen shot>>
