Title: Why can't we buy the Shadowrun Fiction Novels anymore? (any Update yet?)
Post by: Elmo on <02-29-12/2128:46>
Hi all,

sorry if this question has been asked before, I couldn't see it on the forum.

But why can't we by any eBook fiction novels at the moment. The only that seems to be available is the Spells & Chrome one.
The Nigel Findley Onmibus and Never Deal with a Dragon seem to be unavalable at BattleCorps (not even in the product list at the moment) and Amazon (no pricing for the books available).

Also any plans to expand on these or the whole ebook fiction releases on hold now?

I have less and less time to play and Shadowrun games these days sadly, but was hoping I could read at least some Shadowrun Novels again on my eBook reader.

Thanks a million for the fast reply Fastjack! Very much appreciated.

Bad Luck on my side I guess as I just planned to buy the Nigel Findley Omnibus a few days back. Why did I give away all my Shadowrun Novels years back for free still makes me wonder.
Well I made someone very happy back then at least and that person is still a big Shadowrun Fan. The cause was just I guess!  :D

I guess I'll have to wait. I really hope they get that cleared very fast and it would be great if we would see all old Shadowrun Novels as eBooks one day.

EDIT: I guess, I used "I guess" too often!  ;D

I suggest going to the site www.abebooks.com and searching for 'Shadowrun'.  I just did and lots turned up as available.  However, it is a sign-up site, like say Amazon.

There are usually several on ebay, too, including sometimes lots.

Sorry for bringing this old thread up again, but I didn't want to create a new one.

Any update on the eBook novels front?
Are the license issues going to be sorted out soon and can we then expect more novels to be re-released as eBooks or is this still a ongoing issue (licensing can take sometimes a while to sort out).

Lawyers are probably involved.  You know those guys screw everything up.

:'( Unfair CanRay.  Lawyers are the stooges who get told 'make x happen' or more likely 'make x not happen', and then they work their little butts off to find some way the law can support the clients mananical wishes, and then cop the flack because they were successful...

Yes... I just defended Lawyers.  ;D  That's why I GM shadowrun, so I can ensure innocent wage slaves and corp executives get their fair share.   8)

Lawyers are the kind of animal you want on your side but who you dread going up against. Unless your lawyer is an even bigger shark, but I digress.

I want a Lawyer with a frickin' laser on his frickin' head.

That said, my cousin is a Lawyer in Toronto (But I still love her.  She's family after all.), and I want a sword that glows in the presence of lawyers.

...

Hey, I wonder if that's one of the magic abilities of Sir Terry Pratchett's sword has?
