Would you consider a Changeling/SURGEIII metagenic adapted to the ocean?
Started sketching it out, thinking background and such....
Also, how big is the ship if I might ask? Relatively small crew, so I'm wondering whether this is a smuggling vessel, pirate vessel, etc.
Basically building a character around being seabound ("What type of person would prefer to be shipboard?")
Let me tell you a little inspirational story about Hawaii that my mother told me about a good friend of hers.
This guy had studied under the elders all about the currents and stuff around the islands and did a graduate thesis on it. The question was, how did the ancient Hawaiians manage to navigate around without any of the modern equipment. So, to test things out he led a group on one of those ocean going outrigger canoes and proceeded to sail from I want to say Oahu to the Big Island (Hawaii). He was up for like 40 hours straight, keeping them on course. When they got within site of the Big Island, he passed out to let them finish the journey. But the fog rolled in and they got lost. Dead asleep on the hull of the canoe, this guy could feel the current and the lapping of the waves and knew they were off course. He got up and led them through the fog to port.
please keep the crazy restricted gear to minimum.I'll take this to mean that the GE Vanquisher Heavy Autocannon isn't really an option? (Arsenal 124)
Your drones and vehicles are useless on the sea so if your only going to do a small amount of re-writing.Doberman drones can be used while entering ships, no? Or am I getting the wrong idea here...

Surge Class 3 what are you taking? gills? underwater sight? Sonar? sure those are OK
Crisses, I'm sorta heading in that direction myself to an extent - no reason you can't and see what the GM says, but just pointing out. You'd have the advantage of not needing scuba gear too :p
Mm, wasn't at my clearest - but he does have certain capabilities under those categories. Anyway, just saying, crack on.
Here is the current (slightly rough) draft - there's a couple of things I might change, the ammo's not distributed correctly, haven't brought extra clips, but there won't be substantial change, unless the Gm hates it. I'll just point out; Chummer doesn't seem to think I need to pay for languages, which is nice of it, but possibly inaccurate; or possibly not, given the Lingustics adept power.
Christ, chummer's text only version really doesn't translate well... will tidy that up when not so tired.

My only suggestion is to change your pistol specialization to semi-auto that way it covers a larger amount of guns, other than that your good to go
Blah those will be covered by your lifestyle. Plus they're not that expensive today so in 60 years it should be ceap-ish
No shit, there I was: floating under the surface treading water, watching the ship go belly-up into the ocean. [The GM says "All your stuff is soaked in seawater & will be ruined. You'll have to roll, even for all the equipment you had on your person, to see if it can take being immersed in seawater..." I turn to the GM and say, "But all my stuff is in waterproof bags!" GM says, "Where does it say that on your character sheet?" Me: "But, I'm always around seawater! Even since I was a kid! Don't you think I know all about coastal flooding, and boats capsizing, and..." GM: "If it's not on your sheet, too bad. You forgot."]

Tally-Ho!
Hey, it's that proof-versus:QuoteNo shit, there I was: floating under the surface treading water, watching the ship go belly-up into the ocean. :)
SO you think. Remember bags can be burst or punctured
Seriously hoping the second, Hacker/Rigger costs so much :(
If you aren't all full up, I would love to throw in a character. Karmagen is a lovely, lovely mistress...
Let me know, you know my style and post rate, so you can likely determine whether you want me aboard or not. Obviously this would let me flesh out my smuggling ideas a little better.
