I have a few questions.
1. What air support vehicles would Lone Star (circa. 2071) be using in Seattle? I find it hard to believe they would be using something other than a chopper in a built up area like that, but I also don't believe they'd use something like the Wasp when chasing Shadowrunners in an armored vehicle, as that wouldn't even scratch the paint, but the only other vehicle in Arsenal is stated to be a military chopper that wouldn't be used in urban areas.
2. Are there any other books that have vehicles in them? Am I just looking in the wrong place?
3. What would you say the standard response times should be for security companies? I can see under a minute for Downtown Seattle, and under 5 for the Redmond Barrens, but my team can get combat done with and get the hell out of dodge in that time.

1. Police really don't want a shoot out (especially not a high speed one) in a populated area. Air support is for the most part for spotting and getting ahead of fleeing targets. The ground forces deal with the actual assault. They are also very hesitant to shoot down an airplane over a populated area. For that, they have drones that can attach to the hull of a vehicle and then detonate on command. Usually, they'll let you get to your destination or a roadblock provided and then close the noose.
2. Earlier editions have vehicles but you'll have to convert. There's Rigger's Black Book and Rigger 3 (I don't have #2) Also Fields of Fire had some stuff and Corporate Security Handbook had the Ares TR-55 series. NAGRL had DocWagon vehicles, but those got included in Rigger 3. In 4th I think there is Unfriendly Skies and Deadly Waves with flying and water based vehicles respectively.
3. Standard responses were listed in a couple books, but they were admittedly fast. Realistically, it would take a while for response, but for the sake of the action, they were listed in initiative passes. If you're looking for realistic, do your own research. If you're trying to squash a combat, use the listed numbers or just pull a "The cops just happened to be patrolling just now." card.

1) Today most respons come from squat cars. I think the same will hold true in the dark future as a chopper is way more pricy to keep in the air. A lot of surveilance drones though to take pictures and follo suspects so the uniforms on wheels can folow the bad guys home.
2) Arsenal, This Old Drone and Milspech (The two last ones are PDF only but are also part of Runners Black Box i think).
3) That depends of trafic and the time it take to take a call or respond to an alarm. I think 1 minute is to fast even in downtown. In Redomnd Barrens there are not much of a response at all ;D

Northrup Yellowjacket is a beefed-up version of the Wasp, but really they would be using combat drones. I once had an interesting discussion with a player about the size of the Wandjina. It should be the size of an F-16, but according to the rules can be stuffed into a pedo van with the wings folded. So it's plenty small enough to using in urban environments, and it's nasty when loaded with AGMs, e.g. the Mitsubishi-GM Outlaw Block III anti-tank variant.
2. Are there any other books that have vehicles in them? Am I just looking in the wrong place?
That was basically the idea with Arsenal and the other core supplements. Several e-books were released last year with vehicles, and they're compiled in the Runner's Black Book (http://www.battlecorps.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2850).

Downtown, yeah. The Barrens? Response time is "Are you kidding?"

I pity the poor Wandjina stuffed into a Pedo Van, James.
Does it have "Free Candy" written on the side? And a promise of puppies? :P
-
BTW, the CAS in the "CAS Wandjina" refers to its manufacturer, Australia's Commonwealth Aerospace Systems.
I've said too much about the van. It was an abomination.

Was it's driver in a bear suit? ;D
-
In a manner of speaking, yes.
-
Bear suit or Bear skin? The difference is subtle yet important.
On topic, I like the Nissan Hound from Milspec Tech for fast response teams and such.
Edit- The comments on it was the icing on the cake.

Ok, that answers those questions, but now I have something a little more complicated.
Is there a rules set for converting vehicles from previous editions into 4e, and if so, which book is it in? If not, does anyone have a method for doing so that has worked for them?

Knight Errant uses aerial drones for air support, primarily.
<tease>
However, they rely mainly on ground pursuit vehicles, however, in the form of the Knight Ares Charger, the Knight Ares Lancer, and the Ares Citymaster. You can see stats for the Charger in Shadowrun missions adventure SRM 04-06: Burn, and the Lancer and their primary drone will appear in an upcoming ebook. :)
You can also see their new armored uniforms in that same adventure, and they will be in the ebook product as well :)

Honestly, I just use the same stats for the older stuff, the vehicular stats didn't change that much. I'd just eyeball it.

Just found an example of the exact thing I was looking for. Now I just need to figure out how to convert it as it's pretty much exactly the police chopper I want for Downtown Seattle (minus the fact it's Ares and thus wouldn't be used by Lone Star)
Ares GCR22S
Features Micro-turret, ECCM 2
A small autogyro used mostly by police, the GCR22S is one of the smallest autogyros and is adept at flying between buildings, capable of following suspects even between buildings.
The S series modification links all weapons via smartlink to the pilot slaving the turret to the pilot's helmet.
Model Hand Speed Accel Body Armor Auto Sensor Cost
Ares GCR22S 3 130 15 3 0 0 2 50,000nĄ
Fuel Efficiency Sig Seating Entry Cargo Load Availability Index
Jet(250L) 0.25 km/l 3 1 1d 2 68 3/72 hrs 2
Any suggestions on converting this thing? I don't even know what edition it's from (assuming that it IS an actual vehicle and I'm not being duped by some fanmade stuff).
