Title: Anyone know where to get cheap-ish metal/plastic custom designed badges?
Post by: betafu on <04-19-12/2304:05>
I'm starting chargen for my Lonestar game soon, and I thought it would be cool as a prop for the first few games to have badges for my players. I've looked online and of course I can find the toy kid badges in plastic, and high-end law enforcement/federal style custom metal badges. What I'm looking for is something close to the Lonestar five-pointed-star-in-a-circle/shield thing, if I could pay extra to have the 'Lone Star Security Services' on it that'd be a mega bonus. I can see metal nickel badges that can be custom designed, but they are LEO use and are of course 60-90 bucks a pop.

Anyone know of any places online where you could do something like this? I liked the idea of buying some badge I could put on a leather back and chain for them to wear but it looks like that may be a 500 dollar venture.

Great idea!

But also take the time to check out if it's legal in your neck of the woods too! Hate to see you land yourself a fine (or worse!!) for a game prop.

I know the law in BC can get sketchy on things like this (cloth badges ok, metal a big no-no, plastic a grey area) falls under "misrepretation of authority" causes in most jurisdictions.
