5. Shadowrun: Shadowrun 2050, Historical Setting Sourcebook [$44.99; hardback, full color]
Chrome eyes. Computers called “decks.” Big hair, big cyberlimbs and bigger guns. It’s Shadowrun in the year it all started. Take a step back to Shadowrun’s roots withShadowrun 2050, a book that combines Fourth Edition rules—the smoothest, most accessible rule setShadowrun has ever had—with the setting that first made the Sixth World a legend.
Shadowrun 2050 has everything players and gamemasters need to dive into the grimy beauty that kicked off one of the greatest roleplaying settings of all time. With information on how to adapt Fourth Edition Matrix, gear, and magic rules for the 2050 setting, as well as in-universe information about the powers of the world, what shadowrunners will be up to, and who they’ll be running into, Shadowrun 2050 puts a new twist on the classic setting.
Captain Chaos. Maria Mercurial. The Laughing Man. Sally Tsung. JetBlack. Hatchetman. Nightfire. And the Shadowland poster who just called himself The Big “D.” These people and many others are waiting for you in the year that started it all, a setting brought back to life with new, full-color artwork showing the chrome, dirt, neon, and darkness that was in the heart of Shadowrun when it started and remains at its core today.
6. Shadowrun: The Clutch of Dragons, Deep Shadows Sourcebook [$29.99; soft cover, B&W]
Never, ever deal with a dragon. Shadowrunners have heard that dictum so often, they frequently say those words in their sleep. But what the aphorism forgets to tell you is this—what if you don’t have a choice?
The tension between dragons has been growing, and the big lizards are throwing every weapon they have at each other, including shadowrunners—especially shadowrunners. Extractions, industrial sabotage, theft, wetwork—there’s plenty of jobs in all those areas, and dragons are finding ways to get reluctant runners to work for them. Maybe they’ll hide their involvement in the run, or maybe they’ll bribe the runners with large piles of nuyen or blackmail them with their past activities. Or maybe they’ll just tell the runners they have a simple choice of working for them or being eaten.
Whatever tactics they choose, the dragons are going to be active and aggressive, and if runners want to survive, they better be on their toes. They need to know who the draconic players are, what they’re up to, and what might happen to them if they fall into a dragon’s grip. They need to be ready for anything, because when dragons go at each other, the world shakes, the earth beneath them burns—and far too often, shadowrunners die.
The Clutch of Dragons provides the information gamemasters and players need to involve draconic plots in their games, from profiles of individuals dragons, their plots, and their lairs to information about the latest efforts to build anti-dragon weapons. This is a critical reference for any players who want to test their skills against the machinations of dragons—or who want to see just how much trouble they can survive.
7. Shadowrun: Sprawl Sites: North America, Game Aid [$19.99; 16 page B&W booklet, 8 color maps]
The Sixth World is full of dark alleys, twisted corridors, and hidden locations for nefarious activities. Shadowrunners and 16th century explorers both know the same truth—the difference between death and survival when entering a hazardous area may be a good map.
Sprawl Sites: North America presents eight full-color maps that can be used in a variety of sprawls, making it simple for gamemasters to call up a number of different locations when they need it. From a luxury hotel to a collection of blocks in an urban barrens, from a shopping mall to a trideo studio, the collection includes maps that can be used in many different situations. The maps are double-sided, with a key on one side, making them useful as both a guide for players and a reference for gamemasters. The package also includes a booklet providing details on security and other personnel found in the location, along with plot hooks to help involve these spots in your game.
12. A Shadowrun Core Supplement, full color, hardback, that will be available in a standard edition, as well as a small number of Limited Edition.
PARAPHERNALIA: Catalyst will also have the usual additional items for sale of patches, faction/corp custom dice, t-shirts, stachel bags and so on! Also, this year you might find some new, cool game aides to help you play the game, such as the Weapons Deck!
If all goes well, there will be one additional product available. But taht depends heavily on the printer gods, and it's not yet announced, so I'll refrain from tempting them. What sacrifices have been given?

Planning to sacrifice you, actually.
I can feel the love. :'(

Wow. I haven't seen a virgin sacrifice in a looooooooooooooooooooong time. Not at GenCon, that is.
I can feel the love. :'(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9_nXlvY6Io
Three things to note:
1) All of the above are tentative Gen Con Releases, assuming all goes right with the printers. Last minute problems have happened before, they'll happen again. the only time we can (more or less) guarantee a book will be at the show is if it's already on store shelves.
2) Generally speaking once a book is "done", it gets posted as a PDF for sale, and becomes available as a pre-order. It usually takes a couple months between the PDF going up and the book hitting stores and/or shipping.
3) The Mystery Book I mentioned, if it makes the show, is a Missions related product. :)
Do you have any insight as to some of the "swag" that might be on hand?
Will CGL have similar goodies at PAX Prime?
Any goodies coming to Dragon*Con?Will CGL have similar goodies at PAX Prime?
Given that it's CGL's first time at PAX Prime I can't say for sure. But I'm told the plan is to bring swag that doesn't get sold/distributed at GenCon to PAX Prime.
I got the go ahead to post titles, and can give a little info on one product:
Besides Clutch of Dragons, Sprawl Sites: North America, Shadowrun 2050, and the Weapons Cards: Guns, we also have:
Runners Black Book 2074
Gear Cards: Drones and Vehicles
Elven Blood
The first two you're free to speculate on, but I can't give more details.
The last though... Elven Blood is a compilation of 5 Convention Mission adventures that can be run as a mini-campaign. They start off in Seattle where the runners get mixed up in a power struggle with the Ancients, and then moves down to Portland in the Tir. Here's the Back Cover Copy for the set:QuoteBLOOD WILL OUTFor now Elven Blood will be a limited print run at the convention, testing the waters to see how these do as a print product. We will have the adventures available in PDF though once convention season is over (since we're actively running these adventures at the cons).
Shadowrunners have a lot of rules, and each and every one of them can be overruled by the proper amount of nuyen. So when shadowrunners talk about “never trusting an elf,” that’s more of a bargaining position than anything else.
Luckily for them, some elves have plenty of scratch they can use as a persuasive tool. And for the tasks they have in front of them, they’re going to need it. There’s money waiting for runners if they’re willing to venture into elven territory and take on a host of odd jobs. Jobs like: Tracking down reagents from cranky critters. Messing around in the affairs of Tír royalty. Dealing with a number of different punks and thugs, none of whom like you. And intervening in a leadership challenge of the most powerful elven street gang there is.
Elven Blood is a compilation of five different Missions that have been written to premiere at summer conventions. They can, however, be played by anyone. Whether you’re playing at a con, in a game store, or in the comfort of your own home, Elven Blood has an adventure for you. Taking you from the mean streets of Seattle to the wild lands of Tír Tairngire, Elven Blood offers exciting and inventive adventures for all Shadowrun fans.
Elven Blood is for use with Shadowrun, Twentieth Anniversary Edition.
Bull
hey Bull... any chance we can get our hands on some of those nifty "Custom Dices" ?
I'm from Québec city and unable to go to the 'Con...
I'm willing to pay for those... 'Would be helluva great engagement gift for my fiance... and I :P
Victor Moreno, a new artist. He did some awesome stuff in Shadowrun 2050 as well.If you happen to see him, pass on my compliments. That cover rocks on toast!
If I had to guess, no pictures can be taken now as everything is waiting to get shipped to/picked up for the convention. Once the booth is assembled, however, I'll see about getting some pics.
Will CGL have similar goodies at PAX Prime? I know you're planning to do a Q&A Session with Harebrained Schemes, but I'd love to be able to get some swag!
Sadly (for the customers, not for CGL) both the Gear card and the Vehicles/Drone card packs did sell out. The upside to this? A greater chance of seeing full production runs.
Any comment on Elven Blood? While I was able to get a copy picked up, I would love to see more of this kind of product in the future.
Elven Blood sold pretty well, and was a really good test run for future Missions packs. :)Did it sellout?

If you want to get technical, the Drones and Vehicles set did not sell out. There were two copies left after the registers closed. I'm not sure who got one, but I got the other.

If only Kane was handling shipping ;)And how much property damage will he do just delivering books???
Who cares? I'd buy dead tree format books to see the most wanted man in the CAS making armed deliveries across the sprawl, writing his name in machine gun fire.If only Kane was handling shipping ;)And how much property damage will he do just delivering books???
I now have a horrible idea... And I'm not going to share it as I might use it in something now that I'm writing for CGL. ;D*bows* Always a pleasure to be an inspiration of wonderful, horrible ideas.
