I'm sure that this has been addressed before, but just incase I'm wrong, I'm going to bring it up again.
I Thnk we need some office Shadowrun miniatures. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm tierd of having to substitue some generic mini for my orc sami or troll shamman. Have you ever tried to find a dwarf figure that is either not carring a beer mug or dressed in armour carring an axe. Hummans are easy, as there are alot of companies that make modern day or near future human mini's.
Just my two cents worth. Please start a Shadowrun miniature line.
Thanks.

Most Urban Minis will work RAFM Minis (http://www.rafm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=RAF&Category_Code=USXMin) makes a good line.

Not for nothin', but some miniatures are available as one of the reward updates for the Shadowrun online kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1964352341/shadowrun-online/posts (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1964352341/shadowrun-online/posts)
Which could, at least, tide ya over for a little while. ;)

As much as I'd love to see an official mini line come out, as noted above, there are a number of good sources out there. Links to previous threads on just this topic:

Didnt go through AJ's links, but you are aware that Ironwinds metals still has/sells alot of the orginial shadowrun minis, right?

I'm torn on the Ironwinds.
On the one hand, legit Shadowrun minis!
On the other hand, their age shows, and they're at a true 25 mm scale instead of the more modern 28, so they come off as kinda tiny.
Wonder how hard it would be to beg, say, Reaper into a joint operation?

They are dated. But they are right for the game.
How hard? Depends on Cataylst wants to do. So far the partnership between paizo and reaper is doing very well. Those models are sweet.

I have used my mechs to be makeshift minis. *yay cross-product fun*

I could see an Unseen Phawk, Wasp or Stinger standing in for runners. And an Unseen Wolverine for a Security Guard in heavy armor.

Reaper has a new line, chrono something. Tiny bit sci-fi for their marines (who still make good corp security in full body armour), but the characters, with their tech, trenchcoats, hand guns etc, look like excellent runners.

Chronoscope.

They're ok. A few here and there are good. Overall not particularly, in my opinion.

I was thinking about the ones that come with their kickstarter:

Hadn't seen that one...very nice. If that isn't based on a SR character, not sure what would be... ;D

Hah. This topic comes up all the time... I wasn't a big fan of the old official SR minis, so I've been using alternatives for years. I use a mixture of old VOID, Warhammer 40k, a few old SR miniatures, the occasional Dark Ages minis and other random crap for my games... basically any time I go to a gaming store I keep in mind what I need more of (opposition, mostly), and buy accordingly if something catches my eye.
Characters and Corps are easy, I've had problems finding good 'bulk' Yakuza and Gangers... and Trolls are always a tough find.
Other manufacturers/lines to look at: Chronoscope (by Reaper), Wargames Factory (if you like a LOT of assembly time), MERCS, Hasslefree (http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?category=miniatures%7Eadventurers), Heresy Miniatures (http://www.heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&zenid=8149d3da6b88456148df87f57807e922), Infinity(awesome, but expensive)
-
need vehicles that are in somewhat in scale with the characters, using old school gen 1 transformers, but the scale is still off, lol

First, let me echo the chorus that SR needs its own official miniatures line. I am sure that the fine folks at Catalyst have a lot on their plates, but I strongly believe a partnership with Reaper or another established manufacturer would be an awesome alliance.
Second, on the older Ral Partha line: some of the figures remain usable, but the majority suffer from a number of issues. Scale is a big one. They're 25/28mm when most modern minis have "evolved" up to around 32mm, and the differences in aesthetics are noticeable. Another issue is availability--they're not readily available in the distribution chain, and certain minis can only be had on eBay. Finally, and most important, the style of the game has moved on from these minis. Hackers aren't deckers. Firearms have changed. Hell, even the fashions exhibited by the characters in the SR4A artwork look markedly different than the old line of minis.
Don't get me wrong--I love them, but they are quaint. I still use more than a few of them in my games, but SR4A deserves a slickly produced, modern line of miniatures. I think Randall and the crew know this, but they're likely very busy as is, so we must wait. In the meantime, I'm still running games and I need minis, so I scratch together what I can. If you feel so inclined, please check out my blog for some of my musings on SR4A and the miniatures I am using to run it.

I wish Catalyst would consider doing quality cardboard pawns, like the ones Paizo does for Pathfinder. http://paizo.com/pathfinder/pawns
They look great, they're incredibly cheap, and they don't take up much space.

The mini from the sketch I linked to earlier in this thread is now being previewed and is set for a January release. Not sure how I feel about the finished product. The face is throwing me off and I think the horns may be a bit big. Still, not a bad figure though and one I will still have to consider getting.

If you comissioned it, I should *hope* that you'll get one!
The face looks terribly *young*, tho.

My jaw just hit the ground... I think I may be in shock.... wow!
Shadowrun 5th ed...
Relic Knights are really, really, really cool minis, Very, very excited!!!!

Very interested to see where the minis game goes. CMON has been extremely successful at launching/publishing those games listed, but in each case, there was a different company behind the design/sculpting. I'm very curious to see who will be doing the actual sculpting and such. I was pretty impressed with the work Ross did w/ FFG...again, very curious.

There are a few *really* good ones in the RelicKnights lineup that made me toss some money at them.
The Black Diamond figures were things I saw and went "Shadowrun!" right off the bat, while the repair drone for the racing team can easily be repurposed as a combat drone of some kind. Most of the rest, not so much, but there's always a couple of salvageable figures.
But that Black Diamond mini-tank is gonna be soooo useful...

I am infact much more interrested in that Hostile Takeover...
If that means there is something like Arkham Horror or BSG comming down the Shadowrun alley, I think I need to change my underwear. right now. Ive never played or seen that Lords of Waterdeep so Im not sure if it is the same category...
