Title: First attempt at a Face Mage

In the two groups I'm in in real life, I feel like I end up being the voice of reason for face's half the time, and stop people from doing stuff. So I decided to actually make a face character in case I ever run a campaign and need one (also, creating characters is just kind of fun). Any suggestions you can give me to make her better would be much appreciated.

Physical Description: Rather short, being a pixie and all. Very pale skin, with dark blonde hair, translucent wins, purple-blue in color. She has very striking eyes though, a very bring gold. A little under half a meter in height, weighting 19 kg's, average for a pixie. When interacting with humans she usually casts a physical mask on herself. The mask is of herself, without the wings, at 1.8 meters tall.
Personality/background Flora is from a pixie village of about 1,000 on the northern coast of Ireland. She was the leader of the village, and had to handle all of the relations to the outside world. For the most everything was peaceful, and relations were good with the outside world. However, one day a bunch of representatives from *corp to be decided by GM* showed up and wanted to buy the land that the village was on. Even though the offer made was extremely good, to the point of ridiculousness, it was turned down. It's rather hard to move that many pixies, especially when their magic is so deeply imbued with that location.
No more news was heard from the company, but then one day Flora awoke to find her Husband, Oberon, missing. The only evidence left behind linked back to *company with offer*. It's obvious they weren't happy with their offer being declined, and were willing to go quite some way to get what they wanted. Not wanting to give up the land, she decided to go and try to hunt down those who took him. Part of the village had moved to America some years earlier, and she knew she could rely on them to help her get her footing while she hunted for clues, trying to find her lost husband and bring peace to her village once again.

2 things after looking at this really quick.

1.  Illiterate is a BAD choice of a Negative Quality for a Mage.  You cannot read or write?  How are you to study anything new?

2.  You have the Sorcery group at 3, which gives you both Spellcasting and Ritual Spellcasting at 3.  You have 8 spells.  You are allowed either Spellcasting * 2 OR Ritual Spellcasting * 2 for number of starting spells.  The rating is 3, so you are allowed up to 6 spells.

I forgot I had knocked off a point of Sorcery Group. Didn't really consider the Illiterate, but it makes good sense.
Illiterate swapped for Gremlins rating 2, Sorcery Group 3 Swapped for Spellcasting 4 - Specialization Illusion and Counterspelling 2 and Ritual Spellcasting 1.

Being a pixie makes you stand out. You could Surge her and get Glamour.
I would lower Logic 1 and raise Intuition. It gives you the same amount of knowledge skills and better initiative. I would prioritize getting Body 3 asap with Karma.
Drop the Sorcery Skill Group. Ritual Spellcasting isn’t used that much. Better get Spellcasting 6 and whatever you can afford in Counterspelling (Preferable 4). Lower Assensing to 1 for karma efficiency’s sake. Drop Astral Combat and just stunbolt astral opponents. I would drop Dodge 1. Dodge isn’t that great and especially not at a low rank.
Right now you have too many spells – it is Spellcasting x2 maximum. Following my other advice that isn’t a problem though. Your spell selection looks fine to me. Maybe you could find the points to get Heal. Increase Body is also a good spell for a Pixie with only 2 In Body.
Getting a R4 Power Foci (with Restricted Gear) is a huge up front bonus for any magician, and I would really try to find the points for it. Also a Sustaining Foci for your Increased Reflexes is probably more important than one for your Illusions spells (because Illusions often needs a relative high force to be worth it and therefore can’t be in a R3 Foci anyway).

Specializations are best bought with karma as they are so cheap.

Focused Concentration and First Impression dropped, Changeling (Class 1 Surge), Glamour, Restricted Gear (Rating 1), Extravagant Eyes added.
Logic dropped to 3, Intuition raised to 5.
Outdoors Skill Group dropped, Assenssing dropped to 1, Astral Combat and Dodge dropped, Counterspelling raised to 4, Spellcasting raisied to 6. Spellcasting specialization dropped.
Improved Invisibility dropped, Heal added.
Combined focus dropped, Power Focus 4 and Sustaining Focus (Health) 3 added.

I think that's all the changes. Would you say it looks a lot better now?
