Title: AI Street Sam

Part of a thought experiment. The character isn't strictly legal; AIs aren't allowed to take Restricted Gear, for some reason, and the Otomo is just out of Restricted Gear reach at 24R. That said, I don't think it would be too hard to convince a GM to let you play this character. I'm actually rather pleased with how she's turned out (18 shooting dice is more than I had hoped for). I wish I could replace her Codeblock and Data Shadow with Records on File, but the AI quality rules are stupid.

Ok this Topic is a bit older, but am im right that a AI in a CCU-Drone is able to get 5 IP'S ?

3 From AI, 1 from Simsense-booster and 1 from Move-y-wire(the 5th only in Realworld, not in Matrix) Would sound fair to me, since i allway hear that an AI is weaker then a Meatbag-Runner

There is no legal way for an AI to get 5IP. You can't install Move-By-Wire in a drone, nor any other cyberware (except cyberlimb mods, with GM permission). Meat sams can't get 5 IP either, only meat hackers/riggers can, and AIs have the advantage of a powerful home node (higher Response=Better Rigger).

The above character is in no way weaker than a meat street sam. She may have some added vulnerabilities, and slightly fewer dice to some rolls, but she has a slew of immunities (stun damage, toxins) and as many IP as the best meat sams.

Well the Move by Wire system grant an aditional +1 or +3 (well in realworld at last thats how a Meat-Sam can get 4 IP's) So the question is, does das work ? (Oh my Gosh what would a MEatrigger do ? getting 6 IP's wtf Oo)

Sorry, but that's totally wrong from the ground up.

MBW, Wired Reflexes, and Synaptic Booster all go up to Rating 3, and give +1 IP per Rating. The only advantage to MBW is that it boosts your Dodge rating and gives +2 Reaction per Rank instead of +1.

The only way possible to get 5 IPs is to use Hot Sim + Simsense Accelerator + Simsense Booster, and that only works for Matrix Actions.

ah Thx i think missreaded something. But when im right the Simsense Booster does not work for AI (no Brain ^^) is that at least correct?

AIs have no way of accepting implants, so that is correct.
