My first character! In a group of four. Meant to cover a hacker/samurai angle. General background that is too long for people to read about/care is as a second generation japanese human girl born in Frisco. There for when things go south, ends up sympathizing with and then joining the Metahuman/Ares resistance out of Silicon Valley. When open fighting breaks out her family leaves but she stays and joins in the combat. Once it dies down there is significant anti-Japanese sentiment and lack of jobs so she ends up moving to Seattle in pursuit of employment.
Criticism and advice are welcome. I hope I am doing a good enough job of being the hacker!

I have you being encumbered if you're layering all your present armor (3/1 + 2/4 + 6/3 = 11/8). You could get a balanced 10/10 with FFFBA + Urban Explorer Jumpsuit + PPP (vitals protector, shin and forearm guard), then just buy a non-armored coat for the concealability?

Let's see 3/1 for the FFBA, 1/4 for the PPP and 6/3 for the Longcoat. That comes to 10/6 for encumbrance. He is not encumbered.

I had to turn off Encumbrance on Chummer because I was so sure that I was not, but it kept telling me I was. I don't think it handles the 3/1 from FFBA very well at all.

It's probably rounding up instead of rounding down like it should, but I'm sure there're a lot out there who rule the round up due to it being the less favorable for the player.

Saw the easiest 10bp to save. reduce reactions by 1. Superthyroid + reaction enhancers 2 plus reflexes 2 = +5 and your base is 5... So reduce by 1. Or take optimisation. Or even reduce by 2 and upgrade enhancers later.

It's calculating right. As is, you are encumbered, gel packs nothing to do with it.

Chalk it up to that I hardly ever use both of those, and didn't notice it was both.

This is your first character? Very well put together. As you can see, we're merely tweaking the armour levels.
Some tips:
- Reconsider the specializations. BP is far more valuable than Karma.
- Longarms 1 I think you can do without, and a few other skills with 1 point.
- Data Search and that whole Skill Group can come in handy. Sure you can get Agents to run your searches for you too though.

Yeah. Thanks for the tips. I leaned heavily on Umaro's sample characters for pointers. This was Karmagen, which I hope justifies the specializations and single points a bit to more round her out. The armor thing was the most confusing between me and my GM, so I will go back and tweak that for sure.
I'll probably go over the skills again, to see if I can shake a few loose for that skill group.

Personally I'd dump Pistols and Longarms and put those points into better Unarmed + Martial Arts or getting Automatics to 6. And I'd lose stuff like First Aid...your pool is 3, just buy an R6 medkit. With Agility 8, Stealth Group 1 is a good investment.
