So I have been poking around and trying to alieviate spots of boredom by PC making. And I decided to play around (and hopefully use in any future games) the idea of a character following the Psionic tradition. Feel free to comment and offer constructive criticism.
Perseverance
Real Name: Julius Goldman
Metatype: Human
Sex: Male Age: 25
Height: 5'9
Weight: 262 lb.
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue-Green
Nationality: UCAS
Street Cred: 0
Notoriety: 1
Public Awareness: 0
Personality: Due to his street upbringing, Perseverance has a taste for the good stuff in life, as long as you can really use it and feel the impact. He likes good food, real food even, and having his entertainment and keeping it protected, but lavish surroundings, artwork and trinkets are not his thing.
In addition, he believes in 'rationality' and disbelieves the supernatural. Metahumans of course are genetically proven to be human, bug spirits are some kind of paranormal extraterrestrial invaders, and so on. Dragons are clearly mysterious but psionically mighty sentient beings... so much of this stuff resembling magic is interpretation based on surprising coincidence.
As for the rainbow-colored AR elephant in the room when it comes to mentioning his beliefs, he just politely nods or skirts the subject, not trying to enforce it on others if they're of course already invested.
Background:
The story of Perseverance starts with his father, the esteemed psychologist Dr. Roland Goldman, who became an invested pillar of the psionic-research community. He became more and more tied up in his investment and support of such academic work that when governmental support withdrew funding (and his efforts to maintain academic purity at his remaining tenure in NYU were terribly sabotaged by corporate malfeasance), he and his younger wife Belinda lost everything and ended up forced into a difficult life as homeless.
Julius had been born but about this time, but the family kept up the struggle to live, and Roland taught as much as he could to his son by direct tutelage. It was a painfully difficult, but tenacious life. Julius break came, when in a quiet moment of mediation, he found himself unlocking the strength of the mind his father had always spoke of, his psionic power.
Misguidedly magic, whatever trappings one took it as, the power of the mind was power, Julius knew, and he sought in these desperate situations to focus and refine his abilities while offering his services to local Mafiaso to fund his family. When he felt that he gained the experience and connections sufficient to progress to stand on his own feet, Julius cut ties with the Mafia and moved the Goldmans to [insert game home city] where he did some more favors for local organized crime to garner access to a reasonable part of town for him and his much older parents.
And since then, the aptly named Perseverance has been on the running scene.

might be worth sticking a smartgun system and some mods on that pistol. silencers, recoil comp etc are all good options. you could do with the smartgun and maybe a specialisation in heavy pistols as your dice pool is a bit low. if your enemies start ducking behind cover or popping smoke, your negative modifiers mean you wont have any dice left.
armour coat could do with some mods, some non-conductivity would be good, maybe a concealable holster for your pistol?
maybe consider getting some form fitting armour and normal clothing with some colour changing + kevlar/delta-amyloid fibring. you can stack both armour values together and gives flexibility so you can lookk different to different meets.
glasses might as well go to rating 4, put low light + flare compensation on them so you wont be screwed by flashbangs/darkness
commlink: take a look at the software bundles. get the pro-user suite. its a steal.
if you need extra BP, you can take another 15 from negative qualities. by giving your character an allergy to pollen or a bad phobia of spiders you can fill them out a bit :-)
less game altering ones are things like "lost loved one", that expand story arcs for your character and lend some more flavour whilst giving you another 25K or extra skills to play with
