Background & Physical description: The little information there is on Matryoskas earlier years is of no value in describing the person now. It's unclear whether the individual was born male, female, neither or hermaphrodite. The persons ethnicity as well as the place of birth varies in each telling. What remains constant is that Matryoshka was born somewhere in North America and lived a dull childhood until the moment of her/his awakening. One of his/her powers that triggered earliest allowed his/her body to change radically. Unfortunately for Matryoshka, learning how to control this power came slowly. S)he went through life in constant pain for a several months or years as her body continued to alter itself and his/her freakish appearance caused her to be shunned by everyone around her.
As soon as (s)he grew someone accustomed to her new abilities, she left her old life behind and started a new one off the grid. Surviving from petty theft and prostitution, Matryoska quickly realized his/her advantage in both these fields and climbed the ladder from bottom-feeder to professional criminal using deception, manipulation and sexuality when required to improve his/her standing.
His/her first 'real' runner experience was a job to steal a valuable piece of art from a private collection, a job (s)he completed almost single handed. This performance scored more offers in the same line of work and (s)he seemed to like it, quickly becoming one of the first choices for any fixer setting up these sort of jobs.
Asides from obvious reasons related to changing shape, Matryoshka earned his/her nickname by the signature Matryoshka doll left behind at the scene of a crime after it's done. (S)he is currently in the process of broadening her marketability, hoping to find better-paying work in other related branches such as espionage. In spite of how useful his/her talents would be for jobs involving wetwork, however, to this day Matryoshka has refused to accept any such offers.
Giving a physical description of the person is simply impossible. People who've worked in close contact with him or her can verify without a shred of doubt that Matryoshka is a male dwarf Amerind, only to have people working with Matryoshka a month later describing him/her as a pale-skinned Japanese elf.

Personality/backgroundFrom what he remembers he woke up in a Knight Errant medical facility with no memory of his past. He was told he had been in a bad accident. They told him that his wife was in the car with him but they could not find her anywhere. He gets flashes of a happy home life with his wife mostly feeling and disjointed images. Knight errant requited him and trained him and added the ware's. Like anyone in this situation there is always a little bit of doubt that what they have told you is true. (What happened may or may not be true. This is only what he has been told. We all know there are 4 levels of lies (a lie, damn lie, Statistics and Corporate Lies)

Physical Description: Watcher is a black-haired, bushy-bearded dwarf with a prominent nose that almost invites ridicule. Almost, since the investigator is piercingly observant. When not on the job or in a position that requires professional attire, he prefers to wear shorts and an undershirt underneath his long coat.
Personality: Watcher tends to be quiet and soak up the scene, letting others do the talking as he absorbs the massive amount of information that can be found. He trusts in his incredible memory and abhors paperwork. When he has something to say though, he’ll get right to it and make sure it gets heard.
Background: Watcher is a long time freelance runner, and tends to not volunteer his past life to others. But for the record, he was born in San Francisco, and was only a few years old when the Japanese Marines stepped in - and on the metahumans. Once he reached his adult years, he spent a period of time as a private investigator in the worse parts of town, and this was the time when he developed his adept abilities.

Unfortunately, it went to his head, as he got involved in anti-Japanese activities during 2055-56, and it nearly got him cacked when Imperial agents busted the movement. He was forced to get out of town, and this resulted in his beginning of an intelligence and runner career.

Having learned, he went up the food chain, but didn’t forget his roots, he was sure to be around at the celebrations when General Saito went. Watcher has made his mark, because in a world of technology and magic, the simple tricks often work very well.

Personality/background Melissa was the daughter of 2 runners who fell in love on a job. She was raised (when they had time to) in the shadows of big corporations, avoiding any sort of authority. Melissa went to school through a neighbourhood NGO that provided basic education to the SINless. When she was old enough to fend for herself (11), her parents bid their farewells and never looked back.

She started breaking into houses for a living, stealing what she could. However, on one occasion, she broke into the wrong house. The owner was a very powerful woman by the name of Laetitia Sinclair. Instead of turning her over to the authorities (or worse), Laetitia, without any children or protégés of her own, saw potential in young Melissa and decided to train her. Melissa learned more subtle ways of getting what she wanted, as well as how to defend herself if the former failed. Melissa quickly learned that information was worth much more than anything she had ever went for before.

With Laetitia's training, Melissa quickly made some money. She wanted to jump into the big leagues, but felt it to be just beyond her natural reach. She then decided to go underground and get some modifications. Enough to get an edge in the shadows, but not to the extent of ruining her natural charm. When the cyberware (Move-by-Wire) was installed, a virus, which was eventually found and completely removed, damaged her. Unfortunately for Melissa, this left a mark.

Once back out in the streets, she decided to go straight for the big fish. She hit 3 of the 10 major corporations, making out with valuable paydata. On the last of her heist, she crossed paths with the Yakuzas. It seems that both Melissa and the Yakuza had seen the same information about this particular job. Unfortunately for both parties, their presence on the premises compromised the whole operation, which ended with empty hands for everyone. Melissa fled and narrowly escaped the Yakuza’s grasp. However, the Yakuzas don’t forgive nor forget so easily.
