Title: designing humanoid drones
Post by: TheWanderingJewels on <12-10-12/0651:35>
hokay. My players have been doing pretty well and playing things smart as Knight Errant Cops in the Puyallup Barrens. Their standard loadout more resembles the average Israeli solider, simply because the place has so gone to crap, and the poor locals actually  like them as they've been pretty good at driving out the local scum.

but they have had occasional run-ins with things they cannot explain. hacks of the datacoms they use. bad directions on the grid guide. cryptic messages about 'My Name is CRON.' and other such.

now what they are going after is what they think to be Organ leggers operating out of the old Microdeck Campus (abandoned). It isn't

It's Deus...or at least a Fragment there of,that has quietly been assembling resources and assmbling information on the newest version of Meta-Humanity, The Changed, via organ legging and looking at symbiots to determine exactly what they do (the fragment is not entirely sane at this point).

The players had a very nasty run in with one of Deus's stealth drone that nailed the heavy assault troll square. While it didn't kill him even after the weapon cook off that kicked him around a bit and the other Troll Tank got blown out the building. the players were loud enough that they woke up the builds defenses.

Which means I need to build out the things that have been organ ripping. Given that Deus has gotten even more imaginative can crazy since the archo-debacle. I can only guess at what it has created now through back channels.

But I need help creating a humanoid drone that is capable of giving your standard armored trooper a bad drubbing. Any ideas?

Go with the stats from the Mitsuhama Chinpira (in "War!"), which is the only non-Cyborg Adapted humanoid drone I've seen, and tweak it to have Pilot 6 and separate Pilot programs to fire its weapons for it, so the main Pilot can stay on Full Defense while still shooting.

Between the 3 stock Weapon Mounts (one Reinforced), the 14 points of Armor, and the included software (Defense 4, Targeting 4, Tacsoft 3) even one of those things is going to be a handful. A squad of those things would definitely qualify as a "drubbing," possibly with leftovers.

Now, if you want something they can win against... or at least stand a better chance of surviving... that's a different matter.

Use the Mitsuhama Otomo or Mitsuhama Akiyama from Arsenal, tweak their armor up a bit, and give them a mounted weapon.
