Hello everyone,
in Shadowrun 2050 data memory is quite expensive. One possible way to help with that could be burning datachips (which would be non-rewritable, if I understand it correctly) using a chip burner with your cyberdeck. According to the DataSoft description they could hold up to 200 Mp. But how much are empty datachips? In 2070 they are 1 ¥ each, but I guess they will be more expensive in 2050.
I couldn't find any information on this, but maybe my search skills are just bad.
Thanks in advance!

This is one of my criticisms of the SR2050 work.. the matrix chapter doesn't have enough information in it to play it.
(deck upgrade prices are missing, as is software.... for software you can default to normal SR4 software prices for normal/hacking programs as a dodge).
The author posted over in the rules problem errata thread... some suggested early draft costs (as in the costs were way too low to make sense given the cost of higher end gear).
But anyhow... He suggested $500 per 10Mp for storage... (which would include data chips). Which goes down to $50/Mp. He also suggested a cost for memory at $250/Mp in that first-draft.

Thanks for your response!
I saw his errata thread, thanks for the heads-up anyway.
I figured that the price should be way lower than that, considering it is non-rewritable. Much like comparing a CD/DVD/Bluray and a HDD.
So, house rule it is... I will have to talk to my GM then.
