What's the status of finger razors and ceber claws in 5th?

I remember them taking a big hit when we went from 2nd to 3rd.  Just wondering if I can make up a Molly Millions NPC that my PCs won't laugh at.

Hand razors do (STR+1)P with an AP of -3. Spurs do (STR+3)P with AP -2. I personally thought those two AP values should be reversed, but I might be missing something.

Parhaps the hand razers are able to more precisely hit soft spots in armour and work in under them?

Any favorable interactions with shooters?

A Razorboy dropped into a gaggle of rifle infantry should have a field day, after all.

Check the Intercept Interrupt Action. If I read and interpret it correctly it should be a blanket buff to melee types. Essentially a melee character can take an attack out of turn to anyone who moves within Reach + 1 meters or attempts to leave melee combat at the cost of 5 initiative. Combine that with melee now being a simple action, and all attacks being limited to one attack per pass and melee should stack up against firearms a lot better.

Suddenly the sword and smartgun guy on the Street Samurai's handbook doesn't look like such a goof.

So a Troll with a Katana could cover a 3 meter circle around himself.  Nice.

Right and as long as he has initiative left, and people keep moving inside that area or attempting to leave combat he can keep attacking for 5 init. Also remember that attempting to dodge or block (beyond the standard defense roll) will cost the victim 5 init per dodge or block. I think melee may be pretty bad assed in this edition.

Forget the Katana, a Troll with a Combat Axe can reach 4 metres!
