Hello im collecting old SR ,1st 2nd and 3rd ed books, gearing up to run a game that begins in 2050 and continues through the current timeline....I know its been done by several others but it still sounds awesome to me.  :-)    The mettaplot books in 4e are pretty easy to pick out and find for that matter but the 1st 3 edditions arent quite as clear.

This brings me to my question.

What are the Mettaplot books in 1st 2nd and 3rd ed?

Thanks

There aren't really any through 2061 because it didn't become an overt thing to engage in until SR3. But the gist is:

Universal Brotherhood
Bug City (1995-97)
Aztlan (1995-96)
Super Tuesday! (1995-96: Election 2057)
Threats
Portfolio of a Dragon (1997- : Death of a Dragon fallout)
Mob War! (1997: Seattle mob war)
Blood in the Boardroom (1997-98: corp war)
Renraku Arcology: Shutdown (1997-2001: shutdown)
Year of the Comet (2001: return of Halley's Comet in 2061. Probe Race, SURGE, Ghostwalker, all sorts of shit. The first real metaplot book)
Threats 2
Shockwaves (PDF) (Summary of a major plot across multiple German-language-only books)
System Failure (2005: second real metaplot book. End of SR3/beginning SR4. Crash 2.0)

Don't forget Technobabel, covers Ottaku and the nuking of Chicago.
There's always one PC who just can't go with the flow.  They have to have something that sets them apart.  Something blatantly obvious to everyone who plays with them.

Well, first of all Technobabel is a novel.

That said it covers the ultimate resolution of the 2059 corp war, the emergence of Deus in the Renraku Arcplogy, and does cover otaku. Sort of.

The novel about the bug outbreak that created Bug City is Burning Bright. BB is also my favorite novel and arguably the best one.

Oh well sorry, I misunderstood the OP. I thought they wanted novels and such covering the metaplots. So, excuse me for trying to be helpful.

If you're starting in 2050 I would also recommend Corporate Shadowfiles. It describes the state of the megas in 2054 and offers a good picture of where their respective 'starting points' are to each other as the major plotlines move forward. It really helps to put a lot of the bequests from Portfolio of a Dragon into perspective.
