Rulebook (p. 180) tells: "At short range, you get –1 DV, targets get –3 defense, and up to two targets within a 2-meter spread can be targeted using the same roll".
Me and player from my group have come into controversy about that rule.
I read it technically: roll dice once (without split), then let targets make rolls for dodging the attack.
My pal insists that for hitting two (or more) targets attacker's dice pool shall be divided, as Multiple Attacks rules are applicable.
How I see it:
Trog McKiller shoots his shotgun (loaded with shot rounds, medium spread) at two goons, which are standing very close to each them. Range is short.
Trog rolls his normal dice pool and gets 4 hits. Now every goon rolls Reaction+Intuition (-3 dice pool modifier) in order to avoid attack.
Who's right? Me or my buddy?
