My local FGS has made the decision to stock SR on their shelves again and asked me to assist with what to stock and how to present it. This is a big deal because the 'Classic RPG'  section is 2 4' shelves, total. It has been D&D, SW, some Pathfinder and a few items that were custom ordered and not picked up for quite some time. 2 core books and 1-2 of the core supplements are obvious along with the starter box and Alpha box. She hill stock Crossfire nearby as that has a 6-8 person group that plays in store every other week. I already know the novels and adventures will not be stocked (no pure fluff, just rulles). The distributor lists alpha wear cards, a Seattle box, a whole series of Denver product, Sprawl Gangers, Hostile Takeover as preorder.

I get about 18 inches of shelf space so nothing will get faced out. The Box sets will not count toward shelf space as they will be presented up above on the wall faced out. That will be our 'signage'.

What I'm asking is suggestions - What core books and how many? How deep do I go with the supplements and how many? Any upcoming product that I missed and should be on the look out for?

Thanks for any input offered.

the Seattle box set is not going to be out for a while. I'd lean towards campaign books like London Falling or Boundless Mercy over most sourcebooks—books with lots of plot hooks and fairly straightforward adventures to guide new and more experienced players. 6WA seems reasonable as it is a useful big picture item for the world.

The first grouping on this page includes the list of announced upcoming products as I know it. So you can double-check there: http://shadowrun.tumblr.com/tags

SR5 Core X2
Run and Gun
Chrome Flesh
Run Faster
Street Grimoire
Data Trails

(In that order, in fact.)

Two core books, for in case one sells out or a GM and a player both want in, then the Gear Book, the CYber Book, the alternate chargen/weird metatypes book, then magic, then Matrix. (When Rigger 5 hits, I'd put it between Fast and Grimoire.)

For the sourcebooks? Hrm. There's nothing that you *have* to have yet, but something that deals with CFD would be wise. The corporate book, when it hits, would go there tho, and gradually more will drop in as well.

But, for now, the core X2 and those splats.
