First of all, where are you guys coming up with the notion of a free armor with the cyberlimb purchase?

Not free. 3000 nuyen a point. The important part is that it's encumbrance-free.

Second, unless you're using prime runner rules you can only get 2 armor per limb. Since each armor purchase has it's own availability, you could only use Restricted Gear to up one of them to 3.

Ah, but if you get a Used Cyberlimb, then everything you put in the Cyberlimb must also be used. Used grade cyberware is an 0.75x multiplier on the cost, 1.25x multiplier on the essence and, most importantly, -4 on the Availability. Therefore, I submit, a Used Armor Enhancement III would have an availability of 3x5-4, or a mere ELEVEN.

Trifle not with munchkins. We can have our crazy armor counts.

I say 'free' because it was stated that the cyberlimb starts with a point of armor...it does not.
3*6=18, so your 21 is not correct.

And I guess this character has biocompatability, because we're talking 6.25 essence for centaur and two cyberarms for used otherwise.

Ah! I see where it is now. That is not correct. You only get the 3 AGI/3 STR and physical box for "free". My bad for not correcting people earlier. It escaped my notice.

You're missing 3 for the Liminal Body itself, which my GMs seemed to think made sense. As you've already pointed out, the liminal bodies are kind of unclear on that point, so it's really a GM call. Two Missions GMs didn't raise an eyebrow.

My fault, I'd not read all the text on cyber-limbs in some time, and I remembered that just having a limb made you harder to kill and assumed that was armor.  But on actually going and reading the book, it is 1 extra box on your damage track, not 1 extra armor.  Sorry for any confusion.  (I hadn't really been looking at a tank, more of  'what sort of swiss-army-knife of toys could I pack into a leg?' so I'd not yet gone into serious review of all the rules on that)

ETA: while I have cyber-limb experts reading -- I don't think there is anything in the rules that says too much chrome makes you sink like a stone?  (in fact, if the limb(s) average up your strength, you'd actually swim better !?!)

But if you look the discussion on cyberlimbs elsewhere, you'll find that by RAW cyberlimbs don't effect inherent limits and such so having an AGI of 1 with two cyberlegs rated AGI 9, you're movement is base 2/4 (though things like cyberskates effect this). I got a headache reading all the explanations to why this is logical. While I don't like characters that stat dump multiple stats, I grew up with the Six Million Dollar Man (or in Markie Mark's version- the Six Billion Dollar Man) so cyberlegs should effect movement.

Limits are different from movement rate. I'd definitely expect cyberlegs to affect movement rate, but I totally understand why they don't affect your Physical Limit. But the only way that the Physical Limit applies for movement is as the limit to your Sprinting check.

The game is mum on how it affects your overall weight. Given that there are a couple of things that you can do to make cyberlimbs better at swimming than even just increasing your strength, I'd say that there's some kind of technological mumbo-jumbo (helium-filled chambers???) that makes it irrelevant. It's basically too crunch of a detail to bother with.

It's hard to get fast at swimming. You can pretty easily get a running speed of 144 meters per combat turn (107 MPH), but swimming is hard to beat 24 meters per combat turn. Although the rules are a bit mum on what happens when you have four legs with Water Jets. You double for a single, or triple for a pair. For three legs, would that be quadruple and four quintuple?

Lol, the speed ratings in this game are so bonkers. I think best thing to do is to just apply common sense and talk to GM about it. 100mph on foot is just so ridiculous

If you want to see ridiculous, I think I've gotten it up to 208MPH, but it requires you to take a Centaur Liminal Body and Skimmers, which probably means you don't need to swim.
