So I want to make a really awesome archer but can't decide if I want to go adept or cyber this is my first archer character I've looked at some threads on archers I get high strength agility reaction I know you want to take kyujutsu. Was thinking taking throwing weapons because of the high strength to he's the wilderness hunter type character doesn't have to be human I'm open to all suggestions and opinions I suck when it comes to making character types I've never made thanks everyone happy thanksgiving

Tbh, human archers need a lot of cyberware to get the strength needed to do lots of damage with bows. You're better using archery skill with crossbows as a human or going ork/troll/dwarf for bows.
If you're getting stuck in in combat, you'll want basically to get max agility +augs, plenty of reaction and Intuition plus initiative Enhancer ware.
As for skills, archery with a specialisation in bows or xbows for example, a melee skill, perception and something else that feeds off your high stats. Sneaking, lockpicking and driving are all good picks with Sneaking being the most useful.
Attribs A, resources B, skills C, meta d (Human, 3) and magic at E works well for a human combatant.

A bio adept would be the best.

Adept with 1-2 essence points of bio ware

I've played a character similar to this In sr4 and it is viable as long as your gm doesn't slap you for having a bow doing assault cannon damage

What build rules are you using?

Without looking, i also believe you are capped to 10 on bows...

So to reach max effectivness as a human you need strength of 6, augmented to 10.... both options (magic or cyber) can get you there.

Be careful on the awakened side. Some adept strength boosts only increase the dice for a test, and not the damage output...
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Remember: You can't fix Stupid. But you can beat on it with a 2x4 until it smartens up! Or dies.

Yeah its plenty doable mate, you tend to need a wide skillset to make them work so consider having Skills and Attribs near the top of your priorities and meta at the bottom end.
Both magic and cyberware are helpful for this kind of character, but i'd lean towards the awakened as astral perception and assensing will help in lots of scenarios
