Maybe in your games, but that's by no means true across the board.
Would you want to go into a place where the resident had a drum-fed shotgun and can see in the dark?

If your players can afford one, they'll probably want to customise it quite a lot.  Shadowrunners make enemies, so a couple of concealed turrets would probably be a good idea.  So you can start from the google plans and then update them to your runner's wishes (adding to the price of course). :)

Afford no, have a run on one hopefully. Its like the top level cyberdecks you don't buy them becuase you can get a permanent lifestyle and retire for the same price.

No one can even tell me what a hot room is?

Not sure if this is what they mean or not, but generally a 'Hot room' is a room kept between 30 and 40c and is used to dry clothing and equipment. Keep temperature sensitive equipment and samples stable.

They are commonly employed on construction and environmental research sites. And by the electrical trade for cable stablization during winter installations. (The insolation on cables gets brittle in temperatures less the -20c..... and the last thing you want to do is crack the insulation on cables that cost $1m/km!
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Remember: You can't fix Stupid. But you can beat on it with a 2x4 until it smartens up! Or dies.
