Hi all.

I have been GMinh SR5 for a while now, and am for the first time looking at creating a character as a player. I think i might be overstreching so asking for a little bit of advice. We are using priorities and standard level (few extras Run faster/Run and Gun/Street Grimouir/Chrome and flesh)

My current thought is as the title suggest an orc bounty hunter and thinking about making him a low level adept to improve preception maybe astral. Sadly the image in my brain is also him with one cyber arm (first time trying to take a troll in got his arm shattered) but this clearly messes the priorities (half decent cyber arm being 30K

I plan to be faily non lethal (machine pistol stick n shock, and maybe a shotgun with gel rounds, but i really don't know how how to put this into practice. Any of you got any thoughts or even questions to help me focus a little bit and not try too much.

Ork + Adept + non-trivial 'ware budget may be too much of a stretch for Priority.  SUMto10 maybe.

Normally you'd dump Resources to E and carry on, now you're setting either Stats or Skills to E and on a "Bounty Hunter" that could be pretty rough.

How "attached" are you to your cyber arm?   :P

The arm isnt the "main body" of the character just the image i have in my head about it so i guess that is the one that goes. You are right i need to focus on one as a dump stat and suppose money makes sense as just a small time bounty hunter.
Much rather keep my adelt powers than the cyber arm. Keep that for the next one. Thanks.

Anyone played bounty hunter esk and any advice? Thanks chummers!

Stats A; Meta B; Skills C; Magic D; Resource E; 10 Karma on Nuyen for the Basics.  Play with that and see if you can get where you want to be.

Otherwise Magic B; Resource E, Meta C, Skills A, Stats D?  Lots of small dice pools though.

Mechanically Oni are pretty solid for a Agility/Cha character.  Not sure if a bright orange bounty hunter is what you have in mind.

Skills C will be your main issue if you're trying to cover ranged, melee, and a splash of Social.  It's certainly a doable thing though.

Thank your Hobbes you are a gent and a scholar. I probably won't take oni, as probably sticking with a local angle. I will have a play with those priorities (probably the first) when I get home and depending what I come up with might post thoughts for critique.

I have no issue with bright orange. I love distinctive style so would play well into that lol
