So i've lost a lot of my shadowrun mojo recently and dropped off the role play scene now my group has split up, but one recurring interest keeps popping it shead up every now and then: the AI on the team.
I've had a good read and have seen a few of the pitfalls, would be prepared to talk them through with a GM; -enforced lifestyle. seems ridiculous, no other character in the game is forced to earn 10k/month or die.
If i've got a mechanic skill/hardware skill/software skill, i should be able to maintain myself or use contacts to provide that service. -real world naivete. I've got pilot origins so would be fully aware of how the real world concepts of gravity, friction etc work. Seems a bit punitive to have to pay it off when taking the pilot origins quality.

I've not pimped pilot up much because AI drone pilots use their depth in place of Pilot, Armour is whatever she wears, Handling and Accel pimped a bit for physical limit and she's AGI 9 with her pistol.
As for hacking, her drone has a stealth module which she can then boost with cyberprograms and do a spot of hacking from a base of LOG 7. Designer + signal scrub can compensate for 4 points of noise from smoke and mirrors too, so limit can be set to a moderate level and direct connection hacking is possible given she'll be onsite with the team.
Social is an issue but she's got a starting dicepool to allow her to at least attempt against mooks/use edge etc.
As for progression; better SiN (Will use the SiNner quality to catch the bus etc), cyberlimb upgrades, more autosofts, better weaponry, melee autosoft + martial arts etc
Anything i've missed, or that could be improved on?
