So I will be at Gen Con in two weeks, and I'm planning to do up a few videos from the show for my Youtube Channel. And since I'm friends with most of the folks who work on this silly little game we're all so fond of, I thought it would be fun to pin some of them down and do quick little interviews or Q&A's.

So why am I telling you this?  Because, I talk to these jokers all the time.  While I'm excited to see them all, I've asked them millions of questions over the years.  So, I figured I'd turn to you guys (and gals!), the fans, and see what questions you would like answered!  So post away below...  Let me know who you want me to ask a question of, and what you want me to ask!

Among the many luminaries that will be present:

  • Jason Hardy - Shadowrun Line Developer and author of Hell on Water, Undershadows
  • Rusty "Critias" Zimmerman - Freelancer and author of Neat, Shaken
  • R.L. "Winterhawk" King - Freelancer and author of Borrowed Time as well as her original Urban Fantasy series, "The Alistair Stone Chronicles" from Magespace Press
  • Kevin "Red" Czarnecki - Freelancer, author of Crimson, and voice actor extrordinaire
  • Brent Evans - CGL Art Director
  • Echo Chernik - Art Goddess
  • Opti - Freelancer and host of the Neo-Anarchist Podcast

And many, many other freelancers, artists, and behind the scenes folks.  So if there's anyone you want to ask a question of, or watch me ask a question of, post away!

Try and limit it to one question, and try to keep the question concise and polite. I may not get to all of them, but I'll certainly try!

Could you ask Jason why he (seems) so quite/missing on the boards?  Not sure how he does on the other ones, but curious since most folks give the impression he's MIA here.

I have a question for Mr. Hardy (not sure if he will answer it however...)

How does he/Catalyst come up with the direction of the subplots hidden within the Lore of Shadowrun? Does he have a specific vision for the direction of Shadowrun plots? Or is it more free form?
Also, how does he/catalyst keep track of all these subplots, as some seem to go on forever while others seem to get wrapped up fairly quickly... and yet others just seem to fade out...
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Remember: You can't fix Stupid. But you can beat on it with a 2x4 until it smartens up! Or dies.

This one is for Opti,

Over the years you and your people have performed a number of songs, ranging from Faithfully (for a Fee)  to the recent Halloween in the Barren's.

While these are available as singles through certain channels, it does take a bit of searching to determine songs from regular episodes.

So my question I guess is there any plans to make a compliation of all the songs together so a Runner could get all of these tunes in one go and avoid spending too much time while hacking into the Ares iTunes?

Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

Will Teachdaire make an appearance in the Seelie Court or other books?

What was he doing in Berlin?

I have two questions, mostly for Jason I think:
  • A bit like Reaver, I'd like to know if we'll get closure (or what passes for it in Shadowrun) to the ongoing mertaplots? A lot of storylines are started all the time, but never seem to be finished. Being vague and open is OK for a time, but at some point (some) answers are needed IMO.
  • In the FASA days, the novels were often used to support and enrich the metaplots, and reveal secrets / bring conclusions to them. The new novels seem either loosely tied to the Artifact Rush from SR4, or not related to any metaplot from the pnp game. Are there plans to use the novels to support the game's plots more closely (CFD for instance would benefit from a novel giving some explanations about what's really going on...)

Well.  I failed.  Gen Con was just too damned busy.  Between my work schedule at the booth running nonstop demos of Shadowrun Encounters (SOOOOOOOOOO much fun!), a number of meetings/seminars I needed to be at, and everyone else's crazy-ass schedule, I never managed to pin anyone down for a Q&A of any sort.

However, I will be trying to get some folks together for a round-table discussion for my YouTube channel in the near future, so I'll use these then :)

Oh man, you suck! But I guess that's what happens when you have an Orc try to do Face stuff, right?  ;D ;D

Just kidding of course :)
