The core rulebook uses the word bullpup only three times in total and never with assault rifles except for the table on p. 420
I think it's another one of those oversights where the designer expected people to use knowledge from prior editions.

Well I don't know a whole heck of a lot about guns so I'll let you guys debate about guns. I can definitely see the advantage of using something between an assault rifle and an SMG in certain situations. Might draft up a build some time in the next 24 hours. Currently also contemplating a conjurer of some sort so I'll probably be making another thread for that guy real soon.
