My character, the over extended Back Up would like a drone that could be used as a datatap...is this possible? preferably as small as it can be with flight.  The idea is that it would fly in and tap the line then I would be able to use my deck to hack.

If you choose a drone form factor, then you have a drone that can attach a cable tap (commlink) or induction receiver (cyberdeck).

I vaguely remember this topic coming up when Rigger 5 just came out. I believe the end result was adding a drone arm to which would attach said data tap. I'll do some scouring.

I'd expect drone arms to look kinda like pic related, but to be fairly unnecessary when you're not carrying cables around, and all you need to do is open / close the cable clip - or better still, sit on the cable.
