So, I am actually from Arkansas, I grew up about 60 mins South of Little Rock and went there a lot as a kid. Currently, I live in Fayetteville, At, home of the Razorbacks. That said, I found this pretty cool, from the New Neo-Anarchist Streetpedia info source book. Always love seeing info about where I live. Thinking this will get used in a game at some point in the future. Anyone else have fun ideas for Runs against/for those mentioned in LR? Otherwise, have fun.

"Little Rock
Saeder-Krupp has a strong presence in Little Rock,
which means Goldensnout has his talons deeper into the
CAS than a lot want. Since the lockdown happened in
Boston, ports like Little Rock that are well away from
the East Coast have seen increased traffic for North
American distribution. That has meant Wuxing show-
ing interest here as well. Wuxing hasn’t had many North
American sprawls open their arms quite like Little Rock
has, so pay attention to the tensions between S-K and
the Chinese factions here.
For the record, Arkansas still doesn’t have a single
major sports franchise, so all the energy for the com-
bat biking, or urban brawl, or professional football gets
funneled to the Razorbacks. But that may change soon.
I heard manapits are going to become a major world
sport!"

Agreed. This looks like a 'training wheels' edition, that you can use to introduce someone to the setting, and then shift over to something like 5E or 4E. Like how D&D 5E is best used as training wheels for D&D 3.X.

It is certainly a bit quirky what did and did not get into the Streetpedia, but I am glad to see some previously ignored bits of the world get some text.

The Streetpedia was an interesting beast to create.  There was a limited list of topics/things Jason wanted covered, and room for us as freelancers to pitch our own topics as well.  Most of the entries were supposed to be short, with room for a few longer ones.

In the end though, it all came down to what got pitched and what there was room for.  There's a ton of stuff that would have been nice to see included, but ultimately it was an issue of whether or not any of the freelancer pool had an idea for it and/or whether or not there was space.

For sure there would always be more topics than there is room for, and I'm quite pleased by a lot of the smaller entries.

So far the only thing I have in my 'puzzling omission' category is Toronto, given that it is apparently going to be the setting for 30 Nights.  (Or perhaps it was deliberately omitted as it will be covered there?).  I'm sure as I look through I'll come across some more.  But I hope all the readers recognize that it was always going to be an impossible to please everyone with this book.  Having a Streetpedia >>> not having a Streetpedia, so it may not be perfect but at least we have it :)

I'm waiting for the DTF of this but I can already say I'd support a yearly or twice yearly PDF "update" to the Streetpedia that gave more tidbits and fleshed out more of the world that just can't fit into a regular sourcebook.
And possibly, if the House Book Arano experiment goes well, a POD compliation every few years.

I think they used to do something like this with the SOTA series back in 3rd/4th (?) edition. I quite liked them, but not sure how big of a seller they were.

I'm told that the first SOTA book did well but the followups didn't, BUT, that was third-hand and I've certainly never seen the sales figures to verify that one way or the other for myself.

There's a giant list of Things Wak Wants to Write But No One Would Ever Buy. An annual Streetpedia update is probably one more on the list. :D

I'm quite interested in the "Resonance" entry, and wondering if it's going to be picked up as a plot point for 6th Ed.  It seems to imply a much larger deal finally being talked about regarding technos (are they "digital mages" or something else?), finally being addressed after two editions of hints, and even some (officially defunct) tie-in to "long past events" in the "Seed" reference.
