Qualities. So most of them are +1 edge when x occurs. I think almost all of them cost 12 karma. But it’s kind of weird. Like 12 karma for whenever you resist damage also 12 karma whenever you resist a toxin. One of those seems clearly superior. There are a lot like that where it’s 12 karma for edge in this common circumstance and others 12 karma for 1 edge in this pretty narrow circumstance. Am I missing something?

I think given that Edge is a major Economy item and that there are ways of setting up encounters so that standard or subjective ways of generating Edge may occur, taking those properties provide a sort of guarantee. Question really is, does that guarantee offset the cost of that 12 Karma being spent somewhere else?

Yeah but like the edge against diseases is 12 karma. Like how often is your GM throwing diseases at you compared to bullets. Oddly some are cheap like analytical mind which can come up all the damn time is only 3. Presumedly that one is getting changed.


When coming up with costs I’d of gone kind of like allergies. Frequency and severity determines cost.

I get what you are saying. Does HMHVV count as 'disease'? If so, could see value if were going up against large quantities of Ghouls on regular, or if you had a themed character that was a hunter of HMHVV infected?

In some campaigns I guess it might be common enough. But it really strikes me more of a interesting quirk as opposed to a useful quality. Where as a edge every time you make a damage resistance test is damn useful. Is drain damage resistance?  Hmmm technomancers and mages May love that. More technomancers because many mages will be sporting 20 die soak pools for drain.
