That’s as much a advantage as it is a disadvantage. Things like that are really just spotlight time for the metahumans.

Also remember that RPG teams/parties tend to be made up of freaks, as compared to the general populace of their settings.

Ever see a PFS party? You rarely see a human anyway, even though humans do have a mechanical advantage in that system.

Cyberpunk? that's a genre about the oppressed minority sticking it to the man.  Why SHOULDN'T it be a game dominated by a metahuman population of characters?
RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

To sum up unless you have a build for sure someone with either resonance or magic and you want a 7 edge there is no reason to. At e and d race the penalty for playing human is fairy minor assuming you want a okay edge.

So yes humans are the worst to play mechanically and obviously so.

That sounds like all the penalties for non-humans aren't being used...?

There are some lifestyle costs for some, I guess dwarves move a bit slower maybe. But that is pretty much it. Nothing really mechanically.

I just listed them above....

10% higher cost on everything you buy (which is basically equal to 9.09% less income) is not really a minor disadvantage ;-)

If you don't plan on having an unarmed focus and only plan on getting body 7 then Ork is a better option than Troll every day of the week.... and if you only plan on getting body 5 then Elf is mechanically a better option than both of them.
