I'm building two campaigns right now.  One of them I'd like to do in an underwater setting, so naturally I thought of Proteus.

Sadly, I'm not finding all the info I'd like in Corporate Guide.  Where could I find some more?

One of the things I'd like to know is about their views on metahumans, as this could effect how the group creates their characters and how those characters are treated.  I see a lot of transhumanist ideals, but the idea of being better or somehow more then human could be inclusive or exclusive of orks, trolls, elves, etc.  Are orks equal to humans that are less then augmented humans, or are humans a step up from orks?  Those sort of questions.

I seem to recall hearing somewhere that there was a module with the setting in an underwater arcology.  A previous edition?  Or am I making that up?

Oh well, any info would be a help.

I'd suggest looking up Rapture from Bioshock and Bioshock 2, and updating it, just a teeny bit.

Try Shadows of Europe. There was a decent bit of info. Also, there should be some on DS wiki. Basically, they're still around and their mostly-underwater arcologies are their main strongpoints. Though some are abandoned. That's even better for a setting, isn't it?

There was a sumary available in english of the German campaign Shockwellen, set in 2063, with lot of background info. CGL removed the PDF from the SR website in the recent revamp, but Google still has it cached.

Thanks for the help.

Basically I'm thinking of doing a Horrors campaign.  So a setting that is set apart and separated from the rest of the world is great.  Really builds the fear and tension when you can't get help from anywhere, when you can't just run out and buy bigger guns, when the point of the entire story is to escape and survive.

And an underwater arcology just makes a horrors game so easy to build.  I'm thinking of having Proteus setting up an expedition at an underwater arcology because they found a sunken city they believe to be Atlantis.  Course, it's not.  It's R'lyeh.  ;D

Check out the Horrors thread. That kind of game would be pretty much non-canon, as The Enemy won't be here for the next 2000 years or so. Now, Insect, or Toxic/Warped spirits, or just plain corporate experiment gone wild would be an even better storyhook. You can make a lot out of it without putting Horrors in it and turning it into shoot'em'up Call of Cthulhu with magic and wires... And there are enough powerful spirits - like the Spider from the trilogy books - that could mess things even more.
And check out both the Renraku arcology deal and Chicago. They're a good example of stories that'll send shiver down any player's spine.
