I was thinking at one time of making a PC that made heavy use of the ShapeChange spell for stealth and mobility purposes.  The problem is that clothing and such does not transform with the target.  Is there any work around to the "Suddenly I transform back into a naked metahuman to make a social roll problem?"

Have a great body and not be ashamed of it?

"In all seriousness," though, I'm not sure about all the shape-changing rules.  What happens to implants and wares?  What about nanoware?  Would it be possible to shift with a small nanohive attached, with nanomachines which synthesize clothing over 'strategic' body parts?
For that matter, could you change your shape with enough fine control that you could have very fine hairs covering your body to mimic clothing?

Personally, I'd talk with the GM about that. It's not something you'd want to handwave away as it does give the Shapechange spell some character...

So two things:

- Ruthenium coating (spray on or as replacement skin). At least you could pretend you're wearing a really, really form fitting suit of armour.
- A custom illusion spell to give you the appearance of wearing clothing. Could be useful as you can change an outfit's appearance with just a complex action, but it'll need to beat Object Resistances and that's a whole case of canned worms that'll be opened.

My GMs have just handwaved it away though, though the clothes do get damaged in the process.

Steal clothing and Fashion, seconded. Also, perhaps have your Trusted Teammates (TM) could bring your clothes along. If the form is large enough (dog-size or bigger), could carry a bundle of clothes in your mouth.
Life is short, the night is long, and we still have ammo.
