Thanks!  I've changed careers a few times, but I've come back to my original career (with a slight twist).  I started out on the path to physics academia, and I'm now going toward physics/theology academia.

I'm not completely inept socially, but I tend to need more prep time to pull off a Con, so I couldn't justify to myself the whole Influence group.  I've had basic military training in M16 and M9 (decent shot with a pistol but not quite expert), but no Longarms.

I've apparently blocked out my three years as a TSA screener, because I completely forgot to put any of that security system stuff on my sheet. :)  That probably means nothing higher than rating 1, just enough to maybe not default on it.  Maybe something like Security Design 1 (Airports +2).

If you base it off the really bad lifting rules I am either really lucky on die rolls or I have a 6+strength.  On a realistic level since I weight lift but am not an professional athlete or anything I probably have a 4 strength. Outside of that god knows, well except I can guarantee I have the oblivious negative quality

Cool stats and nice to see you are not afraid to post some high ones :) So how did you learn about demolitions?

I learned by having access to a couple academic chemical repositories during my formative teenage years. Perhaps a little too much access. They both had quite comprehensive inventories. As I still have all my appendages, I couldn't have been too irresponsible! ;{)> Those were fun, fun days.

Ah, thanks for the reminder, Scuzzy!  I'm still blocking out my TSA years. :)  I'm on the fence about whether I ought to have Demolitions 1 (Improvised Explosives +2), or whether I should just leave it as the Logic-default.  It's almost certainly more toward the Knowledge skill than the Active skill anyway, since it's not so much the ability to make/set charges as it is just knowing the theory about how to make/conceal one, so I'll just limit it that way.

I probably shouldn't admit to anything more than I already have, man. Might be detrimental to my continued freedom. Let's just say all I ever need is an Estes model rocket, some flash cotton, black powder, and an engine two sizes too large retrofitted onto the fuselage. ;{)>

Wow, this seems like 'hurt feelings, the topic'. This can't end well.

Attributes only for now. I am going to be as stringently realistic and highly pessimistic as I usually am here.  (Because of those traits, I won't comment on anyone else's stats.) Also I

I have more than 35 points of Negative Qualities, so when I get around to that I'll just not take any BP for the extra ones.

If there are any Addictions or Allergies in those negative Qualities, I'd just point out that even a Moderate Addiction or Allergy is pretty debilitating for a non-optimized real-life person.  -4 to all dice pools under a Moderate Allergy?  That's pretty heinous when the average human has a 3 in all physical/mental attributes and skill ratings between 1 and 3.  That even drops a shadowrunner to half or worse in anything except his handful of specialty actions.

If you're not particularly intuitive or perceptive, you may have higher skill levels in your creative skills and lower attribute score.  Or you may be defaulting on that Perception skill...enough first-time shadowrunners do that... :)  Or you may be more intuitive than you give yourself credit for.

You're quite right that Charisma isn't isomorphic with beauty; plenty of people have a force of personality that has nothing to do with looks, and plenty of pretty people aren't particularly articulate.  I think Willpower is more reasonably correlated with confidence, but there's plenty of room for stubbornness to work as well.

Also remember that the human average for Edge is 4, not 3.  You're basically saying with a 2 Edge that you're about as unlucky as a human can get, barring having the Unlucky quality on top of that.  Or that you've had at least one burn-worthy close call.  I consider myself less lucky than average, but not so much that I could justify Unlucky.  I think the Edge mechanic models nicely the way my luck works.  And it models the old saying, "It's better to be lucky than good."  It certainly makes it easier to be lucky. :)

Actually, I'm really enjoying this thread. With everyone's input, it has got me thinking much more 'bout my next runner.

@Fringe:

Crohn's Disease is pretty gosh darn debilitating. I'm not sure exactly how it'd be statted as a Quality, but it isn't good. I'm not allergic to anything that I know of, and apparently I'm immune to poison ivy.

You're absolutely right about my Edge being 3 instead of 2. I'm not the absolute unluckiest, just one point from it. : )
