I wasn't aware there was a difference.  Anniversary edition would be fine if that's what you have.

It's not really a vote, it's really more a matter of whether I can get enough people to play over on my site.  I know people who use this forum would rather play here, because of post counts, and convenience, but I want to be able to code the tools I want for my games on my own site, plus it doesn't seem like the email notification system works here either (at least not for me).  So really, we will only be playing here if I can't get enough people to play on my own site, which doesn't seem to be the case, as I already have two over on my site.

So on that note, interested parties should register on pbphud.com so we can centralize discussion there.  The thread url is http://www.pbphud.com/forums/index.php?topic=1839.msg7659#msg7659.

Thanks for your patience and interest guys.

I did get a nasty email because of this thread, which I am sure was from Xzylvador, but that's life I suppose.

I doubt it.  Not his style.

If you're still looking for players, for whatever reason, Xabulba just started a game and there's probably a few people who wanted to play but couldn't get a spot.  Might could find some ready players there.

BTW, in-post dice rollers aren't really that convenient since a lot of time in pbp you're going to have to post to roll and then post again to roll again in reaction to that first roll.  It's real messy.  Invisible Castle logs every roll tied to an account, so there's no chance of cheating there.  The fact that it keep rolling and posting separate is why a lot of people use it.

Well you know him better than I given both of your post counts.  He just seemed a bit testy with what was an honest mistake and probably a result of not receiving email notifications.  I'd bet he's had some experiences with truly disrespectful people in the past and chalked it up to that.  That certainly wasn't my intention.

Anyways, that's true what you say about in post dice rolls.  Our standard dice roller uses ajax technology to bypass that issue, both showing and tracking the result in the posting screen, which you can then copy and paste into the post itself.  Either way it shows in the thread display all dice rolls (in a drop down) that were made regardless of whether they were copied into the post.  I haven't duplicated that for the shadowrun dice roller yet, but I believe I will do so before we get started with the campaign, so people don't need to edit and re-edit their posts.

I will take a look for that other game that filled up and see if there are any who couldn't get in.

Cheers,

Gicker

Hey guys,

Anyone interested in playing, please post your intentions on our forums by Monday, else we will start with those we have so far.

RECRUITMENT FORUM THREAD: http://www.pbphud.com/forums/index.php?topic=1839.msg7671

We are running 500 BP characters, and you must have some kind of moral compass.  No cursing in the game unless you use the shadowrun word for it (drek, etc).

Thanks,

Gicker

I did get a nasty email because of this thread, which I am sure was from Xzylvador, but that's life I suppose.

Just like to say that it wasn't me. Not really my thing, I'm more the kind of person who sobs quietly in a corner with a bottle of whisky.

If I lashed out it is because this forum is one of the few in the internet that hasn't been populated with spammers and scammers and I got the impression you were one... You really can't blame me for being under that impression, the reasons were mentioned in the earlier post(s). The only reason I posted those 2 posts were to point out to the persons interested in the game that they might be in for a disappointment if they got their hopes up too high and probably best spend their efforts to find a game elsewhere.

But I guess I was wrong, so I apologize. I hope you have a nice game, I'd even sign up if I had the time.
