okay so i want to make a mystical adept. that is a female elf that  can bind spirits to do my biding..like make me invisible or make a weapon i am caring invisible...or to enhance my physical qualities like make my gun do more damage...how would i do this? would gunslinger be a better options for me to us

i also want my hero to have the ability of  erased maxed..so people forget about,

i want it to be able to use pistols/knives/long range snipers.have survival skills and navigation speak at least 2 different languages and have passion for french history and architecture , and be undetectable by thermal imaging due to my spirits imbued with in me, i also want to be able to use them to help me negotiate with people.
is there any sort of program that will store all of this data? or do i have to write it all done in like an spreed sheet?
also can some one help me build this character please =D

back story: discovered magic through a spirit that was hidden inside a knife in  my small mountain village's shrine....it had the qualities of serpent inside of it driving my character to seek out answers but to do so secretly

anything else that i have missed? i want my character to specialize in sniper rifles and conjuring, but still be able to deal with any thing thrown at it so what else would i need to be able to do this?
could some one draft up a sample build to guide me as i build my first character?
i had a build started in spreed sheet but it got corrupted so now i have to start again >.< all the above info is what i want in it if i can =D
all help is welcome

First off, ask your GM if he's using Mystic Adept properly with SR4A or if he's ruling in favor of SR4 + FAQ. If the latter, my advice would be to find a different way to build the character as that method renders Mystic Adepts utterly worthless as characters.

Cyberware?

You can for example boost your initiative/IP far more effective with bioware than with power points.

Also are you allowed to use ways from way of the adept? It gives som nice discounts.

You should consider cutting down on your weapon skills. You really don't need 3-4 ways of hurting people. Better just be really good at one. Sniping is a niche that doesn't come up often in most games and you can aim etc. so you really don't need to be very good at it to be an fairly effective sniper anyway. And with martial arts you can be as effective in melee fights with a gun as you can with a knife.

Yes I would do that, and loose blades to. Just use a pistol to shoot then in the face or a smg - the automatic skill is broader than the pistol skill.

I think they use either chummer or hero labs to create the character and then make a html print or similar to post it on the forum.
Personally I just use Excel sheets for generating my characters.

If you want something to look at, try Umaro's archtypes. I'm sure their is a cybered adept among them you can be inspired by.

You could look into Mind over Matter and get Logic/Agility and then boost your logic with ware and have agility as a dump stat. Just chose a tradition that has logic as drain stat (chaos mage or other).

Mystic Adepts are quite tricky and easy to mess up. The Transhuman Mystic (in my sig) is one example of a good mystic adept. You might want to poke through some of the characters in my signature if you are new to SR in order to get some ideas.

You are Awakened. Do not touch implants. Despite what a lot of these people claim, implants only make Awakened worse as they are anathema to the powers, and it is in NO WAY worth it to sac off Magic rating just for a couple more Logic points or for anything else.

That...depends on the Awakened, and the implants.

Your bias is showing.

Just because you have a personal distaste for Burnout Adepts doesn't mean they're not worth it pointwise, if that's the way the player wants to go,  or that they're thematically inappropriate.

Out of curiousity rasmusnicolaj, why an elf?  You aren't using the charisma nor the agility that an elf grants.  I would suggest being a human or dwarf for a MoM mystic adept

Edit- I see why you went with an elf.  I don't think the MoM Logic route is good for an elf.  It doesn't play to an elf's strengths.  I would recommend with going with a charisma based mystic adept face.  I'll get a build together at some point.

You are totally right.
It was for getting the mind over matter into play, but I don't think it is a strong build either.
