Does the adept power "magic sense" sense adept powers.  The descriptionsays it will detect active foci, spells, mna barriers, dual- natuered beings and mana anomalies.  Mana anomalies would be the only part of the description that could describe adept powers.  The detect magic spell says it can't detect permanent spells and what are adept powers if not permanent?  But what about powers that you use on others, killing hands or commanding voice.  Both are really just improved test because of magical improvement of the body.  I don't think adept powers leave a signature and therefore aren't using magic, and thus can't be detected by magic sense.  What say you?

Well the Magic sense power says it should be treated just like the Detect Magic spell on  pg 207 of SR4A. That spell specifically says it can't detect awakened characters. So no, Magic sense cannot detect an Adept or Magician or Mystic Adept. Nor can it detect awakened critters or astral signatures. The one exception is Dual Natured beings as those are specifically listed in the Magic Sense power. So it could detect an adept/magician/mystic adept that was astrally perceiving. Beyond that exception, the other adept powers wouldn't register as they are not spells, foci, mana barriers or mana anomalies.
