Starting a new character and need some advice. I can make a character with 300BP and up to 100 in flaws. I want to make a pixie driver/pilot. Basically being able to use drones as vehicles for combat (GM ok'd it if not normally possible) and a real vehicle for general get away / smuggler stuff. I have the character personality and look figured out I am looking for suggestions on stats and gear. I know she will have some cyberware maybe be some magic. I also know she will at least need 2 initiative passes. Any help is appreciated.

Why a pixie?

You have limited BP (at least 50 less then a normal build), so the cost for pixie will cut deeper then normal.
having magic means one of 3 things, no ware, loose magic, or spend extra bp on magic to compensate the essence loss.

So in the worst case you pay for pixie, pay for the magic and pay for the ware and pay for the essence lost in magic.

I am with Thrass on this one.

Looks like you're trying to do about three things at once, and a couple are working at cross purposes.

With 300BP, I would try to focus on your specific role in the team. Sure it can have some twists for flavor, just balance that vs the impact on being able to do your job.

Keep in mind that Riggers have drones to do a lot of things for them, and the whole team suffers when their driver isn't up to the task.

I don't feel its to much. Any cyberware or magic would be to help the primary goal driving. I also need to be decent in combat as my gm's games tend to be combat heavy. I chose pixie because of flavor and they can get high values in the attributes I would like.

Did you notice, that pixies can't take implants unless they are deltagrade?

Althoug a pixies agility (primary attribute for driving) is not higher then for elves.

Thought it was reaction.  All cyberware in this game is required to be delta anyway. Any suggestions on cars, drones or gear in general?

That's a pretty significant houserule.

Delta generally isn't even available at CharGen, if memory serves...and is very expensive.

Is the GM houseruling that all cyber is Delta, or that all cyber must be Delta? 'Cause it's kind of two different things.

Both I believe the game is set 30ish years in the future. I think it is expensive but available.

Normally you can (RAW) only by standard and Alphaware at chargen.

This is obviously a houserule that you have in place and it would be good if you told us how it works.
Are you just allowed to buy deltaware at normal price?
Is every standard ware upgraded to deltaware without price adjustment?
Is there a custom price adjustment?

Normally deltaware costs 10 times standard grade which means a 30.000Nuyen implant which is quite affordable is out of reach as deltaware because it costs 300.000Nuyen.
If that is the case you're probably better of taking adept and going without ware.

Also I think availability is adjusted by grade, so you need to check this with your GM too.

If that is not the case you really should get Adapsin, because... 20 years in the future.
With Burnouts Way, adapsin and Biocompatibility as well as Deltaware you only pay 0.2 times the normal Essence, which is immense.
