I've read Shadowrun novels, but never played an RPG.  Interested in an online game either PBEM or live online game.  I live on the East Coast (Pennsylvania).

Scott - where in Pennsylvania are you? If you're interested in face-to-face games, I know the folks with Circle of Swords in western PA run Shadowrun events. I believe there are also some people playing in the Lancaster area, and I'll be back to run games at Save Against Fear in Lancaster in the fall, schedule permitting.

If you're in reasonable distance of Bel Air, Maryland, I'll be running an adventure there for a local Gameday event on May 17th.

You can also check the Catalyst Demo Team website (www.catalystdemos.com) and see if there are any scheduled events reasonably close to you.

I live in south central PA. (Chambersburg) 30 minutes north of the mason dixon line.  2 hours from Bel Air. What time is your game the 17th?  I'm interested, but also don't want to slow down the regulars.
