I'd created The Leatherjackets, out in Auburn.  They weren't a 'real' gang - they hung out together, and watched out for each other, but they also watched out for their neighborhood, and didn't prey on it in quite the same way that most gangs do.  (So kind of a 'neighborhood watch' sort of thing.)  Their nickname came from their distinctive clothing - jackets made from the tanned hides of local predators threatening their neighborhood, usually paranaturals - devil rats, for most of them, but their shaman had a bandersnatch long-coat, and a baseball bat that was a low-level power + specific spell focus (for 'Wreck').  They called him 'Doorman' 'cause he liked to take out car doors ...

They also hung out at the 410 Twin, an old-style back-to-back drive-in movie theater that had a sunken raceway around the perimeter.  The 410 was an acknowledged 'neutral ground' for most local gangs, 'cause they could show off their bikes and race freely; a lot of car-mod norms would show up too, and every Friday or Saturday (when it wasn't raining and was warm enough) was basically an open-lot car show.  Of course, local riggers also knew that Brutus, the owner, was a retired rigger and smuggler, and while all the cits outside were showing off their paint jobs and neon tubes, the serious gearheads were inside the machine shop hidden under the big screens, arranging for very-illegal modifications of their own vehicles ...
