Ok I am writing up a SR3 campaign where the players are members of Eagle Security on the West side of Chicago back in Spring of 2055.  For those who don't know in a few short months the main hive erupts and Chicago become Bug City and the PC's will be in the CZ.  What I am looking for is some basic ideas once the mess goes down.

Some of the main things going are
-Former Deputy Chief who had been a pain is an Ant Shaman causing problems, he has kidnapped the daughter of the local Alderman and turned her into his Queen  Hopefully this will really make the players HATE him.

-The Queen as stated above this is the daughter of the local Alderman and good person who wants to make things better for the neighborhood.  Now however she is the host for an Ant Queen so things are a bit different but come Oct 1 she takes the big bug sleep.

-The Captain good guy all around does what is right not what is profitable.  Part of the plot that many of the players an officers are there as punishment.

-The gangs, originally there are going to be 3 local street gangs who are into protection and BTL's and the such, one is independent and has MetaHumans, one is Mafia backed and one not sure if I was Yak or a corp trying to make things harder for a group.  After the wall goes up the Captain is going to try and get the gangs to work together for the good of all, not sure how this is going to work out yet.

-A Gogang since there are plenty of Highways and Interstates in the area.  Thinking of making this bunch either get infected by the bug or go down in a Blaze of glory.

Ok what I am asking is some good ideas on what these groups can do for filler episodes so not every session is vitally important.  I have a good idea on what I want to happen but the day to day stuff is what makes the big things have meaning soany help would be appreciated.

Best question for clarification is are they regular rank and file Eagle Security guards/police, or are they irregular assets working by contract (Shadowrunners doing jobs) for the company?

If it's the former, then I imagine they'd be doing regular police and/or we uroty work, sort of an anti-shadowrun type of thing, maybe guarding a site and protecting it against irregular assets, or doing no - knock raids against some of those gangs, etc.

If they're still shadowrunners just working by the individual job for Eagle Security, then they'd still likely be doing runs, but they might take on a more preventative aspect, working "with" security as opposed to against them. Or maybe regarding runs against competitors, etc. Usual stuff.

I knew I forgot something, but they are going to be normal Cops.   I want them to be the good guys but for some reason they have all be posted to a bad part of town for various reasons.   I don't want them to be things like "I was to violent, or I really suck at police work" but more along the line of just was more important than Corp profit.

Manning guard positions on the borders of the Official Aid Area. Gangers attempt to liberate some Food, Water, or Medical Supplies.

Aid Package Retrieval - Food, Water, and Medical Supply drops by the UCAS Military landing in gang-controlled areas need retrieving before the encampment starts starving or wounded start dying.

Rescue Patrol - Word of some elderly persons not wanting to leave their homes to relocate to the Aid Area, PCs have been tasked with their forcible relocation.

Asset protection - The team are assigned as bodyguards to an important specialist, Gangers mistakenly assume the team have something valuable, or a team of shadowrunners are sent to extract the specialist for a rival corp (who know nothing about the imminent bug threat).

Most of the Chicago Lightning Combat Biker team and staff were also trapped in the CZ.  Their skills have led them to be a force to be reckoned with in the area they now claim as their 'turf'.  Mostly a positive influence, they are often at odds with some of the more diabolical factions that are taking to the streets.  Recently, their resident cyberdoc was kidnapped and the group doesn't know who.

They hire the runners to find him, if they return him, they have a group contact who can install up to alphaware cyberware (no bioware) at +xx% cost.
That's just like... your opinion, man.

That could work especially since I have a pre bug Chicago scenario set up based around The Super Brawl where a local kid playing for Chicago scores the winning goal but dies in the process.  Can you say Riot.  Also I do plan on having a Go-Gang that are bad guys and a Combat Biker team can work with that.
