Yes, Shadowrun is geared towards a team dynamic. Each member (usually) having a specific role or specialty. They work together, to compliment each other in order to get the job done. The combat members cover the magicians and or matrix specialists while the magicians/matrix specialists protect the combat people from magical and matrix attacks.
