I was working on a new rigger for 5e. I thought that I would try with adept and burnout way for two reasons. One, i can boost my reaction with Improved Reflexes II and a Improved Reflexes QI Focus bringing it to III. And a Mystic armor to fill in the additional .5PP. Also with the burnout way standard cyberware has alphaware essence cost which helps with my cyber stuff. Over time I can initiate to increase magic and still be able to get more cyber. Take a look and let me know what you think.

I try not to make statements like this, but mystic armor is straight up garbage and combat sense is a million percent better.
Playability > verisimilitude.

I'm not a fan of Burnout's way, you can only get it after you have lost 2 points of magic, then all it does is discount the essence cost of future standard grade cyberware.  You will get plenty of money in the future to buy alphaware, so it seems a waste of karma.

Whiskey, he only has 1 point in mystic armor, I would let that one slide because that is pretty much worthless!

Burnout Way has a that little thing about taking it character generation.... It doesn't seem to mesh well with losing two magic first...

To start this path after character creation, the adept must have lost or sacrificed at least 2 points from their Magic rating to any kind of augmentation that lowers essence.

It seems to me you may start without losing two, as long as it's during character generation.
Booyah!

Yes, The Burnout Way can be taken at character creation for 15 karma. So It serves two purposes. One, the essence loss is less for standard gear. And two, I am able to boost my reaction without spending money on cyber or bioware, because money is the largest obstacle at character creation for riggers. As I play I can initiate as well as get new qi foci to acquire more adept powers. I can also continue to get the cyberware and bioware that I want until it gets to the point of affecting my magic level.

Without a skilljack what does the skillwire 3 do for you?

And what's up with the sim/horsim modification to the Vulcan- your control rig already has VR capability built in.

I Just didn't have the loot for the skilljack and intended to pick it up as soon as I got the money. I'm not sure what the other thing is. It's nothing that I did, just how it came out of Hero Lab.

Take the SkillJack first. That way you can still use KnowSofts and LinguaSofts and use ActiveSofts as KnowSofts until you get the Skillwires.
