Rigger 0.5 adds (needless) complexity to this situation. But the Core rules pg 461-462 says that you have (Body / 3, round down) worth of mounting space. Basically points spent on purchasing weapon mounts.

Standard weapon mounts require 1 of those spaces, and can support an Assault Rifle or smaller, as well as 250 rounds of ammo.
Heavy weapon mounts take up 2 of those spaces, and can support any size weapon, as well as 500 rounds of ammo or (Body) worth of rockets / missiles.
Each of those weapon mount types can be operated remotely, and covers a 90 degree firing arc.

These rules apply both to arming your drones, and arming your vehicles. So your GMC Bulldog (Body 16) has 5 spaces in which to fit weapon mounts.
The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work…when you go to church…when you pay your taxes.

Core rules of Body / 3 mounts is superseded by Rigger 5.0, which has more specific rules. More specific and newer release overrides core.

Question; pretty much all of my drones have rating 5 autosofts.Rigger 5 says that drones can only have auotsoft up to their pilot rating. Do I  have to drop the auotsofts down to legal rating or do the current ones get grandfathered in?

Only if that rating 5 autosoft is on the RCC. If it's being run on the drone and its pilot rating is less than 5 its a no go.

The basic Standard and Heavy weapon mounts are fixed forward facing external mounts.

As of Rigger 5, you need to pay 100 nuyen x Increased Modification Points of the weapon. This covered in Drone Modification pg 122 of Rigger 5.

Wel most of my drones have pilot/DR 3 so I guess that means I have to drop my autosofts down to 3. Or  I could say since I don't actually Rigger 5 the new rules don't apply yet ;)
