Hello

I'm struggling with Reaction Enhancers

It reads:

Reaction enhancers: By replacing specific, isolated
vertebrae of your spinal column with segments of
superconducting material, your reactions to events become
quicker. Add the Rating of reaction enhancers to
your Reaction attribute (and remember to adjust Initiative
and Physical limit accordingly). Reaction enhancers are
incompatible with all other enhancements to Reaction,
including wired reflexes.
Wireless: Reaction enhancers are compatible with a
wireless wired reflexes system, and the total bonus Reaction
from the two augmentations can be above +4 if
both systems have wireless activated.

What bothers me is the wireless part. Isn't that wireless by default ? What does it require to be wireless ?

Yes, by default wireless is on and available. But having wireless on means the device is potentially open to be attacked over the matrix. So you have the option of shutting off the wireless functionality, in which case you lose the wireless bonus.

You can also lose wireless bonuses in areas of high noise. The noise interferes with the ability to connect wirelessly.

For a general description of wireless bonuses, check out the very beginning of the gear chapter.

Right I knew about the noise but I forgot the first part :)
