ahh yes, the debate continues.... our GM ruled that since the different printings of the book varied in how they described reaction enhancers that they were compatible with pretty much everything, and that the "initiative-enhancing" phrase present in, for example, synaptic boosters, referred only to the cyberware/bioware/adept powers/mage spells/drugs that increased the number of initiative passes. So ya can't get wired reflexes 1 + synaptic boosters 1 to get 3 IP's. Doesn't seem like there'd be a good reason that a suprathyroid gland and reaction enhancers wouldn't be compatible, in that they work in entirely different ways. YMMV depending on the GM  :)

Indeed. I am generally for your interpretation, but one felt it neccesary to point out the potential glitch of the GM going illegal with that idea.

I'd also point out that while the bio/cyber mix is generally the best way to get bang for your buck for essence, a break-in specialist might be better advised to stick solely to Bio and not worry about setting off metal detectors.
