on subject of pixies, I can vouch that one good hit puts them out of the fight, you just have to hit them. My daughter runs a pixie in several con games and she has survived, though she has also taken assualt rounds and been dropped like a hot rock. her biggest advantage is that she is armed with shock frills, so most of the time its one hit, drop the foe.
