I wanted to know what bullets in shadowrun are made of Iron

None.

The most common medium for bullets is lead with a copper jacket around the outside. Specialized rounds contain an explosive charge (EX and EX-EX), or a tungsten core (APDS). Hollow points have a indent (kinda like a cup) in the nose of the round to increase spread when it hits. And Frag rounds are deeply grooved to break the round up on contact.  Gel rounds are made of a gelitan substance to inflict blunt trauma. And lastly, stick and shock are a needle point, discharge capascitor and electrical load all in one (the needle is again probably copper for its conductance, but could be aluminum for weight.)

Raver is mostly right.  Iron is not a soft enough metal to work very well as a bullet, in modern guns.

However, there are a few Shadowrun weapons that do use "iron" slugs (actually, nickel-iron alloy).  I'm specifically thinking of the Ares Thunderstruck rail-gun.  That's a special weapon, using special ammunition, though.  Your typical pistol or assault rifle is going to be firing normal lead (perhaps jacketed) bullets.

Copper is quite expensive by the 2050s, after the Resource Rush.  Most books reference steel jacketing for regular ammo.

The U.S. military is currently issuing the M855A1 round for its 5.56mm assault rifles, which is a steel penetrator tip on a copper core. Steel also sees use in armor-penetrating ammunition as a less-expensive alternative to tungsten. (A protective coating such as Teflon is sometimes used on AP ammo to protect the barrel from wear due to the harder material of the round.) AP ammo options in Shadowrun are a bit limited: APDS doesn't specify, but I suspect that they're supposed to be tungsten. Still, a steel-tipped semi-armor penetrating rounds should, if anything, be cheaper than APDS.

Additionally, I would expect anyone with the Armorer skill to be able to cast their own bullets in whatever metal they had handy, should they need un-alloyed iron for some reason.

The entry for "Silver bullets" in Arsenal includes this little note:
Quote
Since many beings inhabiting the Sixth World are allergic to
certain substances, a wide range of projectiles with allergic substances
and alloys are manufactured in small numbers, with silver
bullets being just the most well known. It is up to the gamemaster
to determine the availability, price, and other statistics for such
kinds of ammunition.

True. But that is an electromagnetic rail gun! And fires a solid slug not a 'bullet' (a projectile propelled by an explosive charge). Love that weapon.... And hate that weapon :( too big to take anywhere but a war zone without serious problems (like the entire H.T.R teams of a city... With military on stand by) but it splatters anything up to light tank with ease.

Bullet is not restricted to "a projectile propelled by an explosive charge".  Slings also use "bullets" - specifically pre-shaped projectiles, classically formed of lead (nice and heavy for it's volume).  ^_^
