So, I have two players who want to Be a close representation of their favorite Marvel characters., Beast and Deadpool.  Does anyone have any good ideas?

For both of them, either a heavily augmented street samurai or an adept, with Beast focusing a bit more on melee, and Deadppool focusing a bit more on ranged.  For the Beast's appearance, SURGE.  For Deadpool's regeneration - forget it.  Although he could get a few things like symbiotes or platelet factories if he wants to be a quicker healer.

As much as I hate Deadpool, the regeneration is easy. You take the spirit pact quality with a spirit that has regeneration and you have a GM that can tolerate the irritatingly stupid jokes long enough to allow you to use it.

Actually, the Agent X series established that while Deadpool may be familiar with almost every firearm imaginable, he's a pretty bad shot (hence the constant spray and pray), while being a brilliant martial artist. Agent X, his clone, was the opposite.

I agree with kat9 and the spirit pact use.  Glyph is right on with SURGE.  Now for a twist; the Beast player wants to dabble in hacking or go whole hog and be a technomancer.  Anybody have a Techno build that would fit the bill? And Arkangel Winter, thank you for your insight!  :-D

To be Honest:

Go tell Your Players to do it themselves !
Its hard enough to convert a Comic Superhero to a playable SR Char !And now They (Your Players) come up with the Stupid Idea of a Technomancer-Surge-Acrobat Do You have an Idea how Many BP this Build would Need ?

shapeshifters get regeneration don't they?

So apart from the fact that you can actually shapeshift, you can get regeneration quite easily.

If you're willing to expand your world a bit you can go the route we went.  In our game UniOmni is trying to tinker with the various HMHVV strains to create a super-soldier serum.  They are trying to engineer out all the flesh/blood/essence eating nastiness while maintaining the attribute boosts and supernatural abilities.  So far they have failed to achieve this goal but have created a few variant strains.  One being a ghoul with regeneration and no blindness.  As Deadpool is a mutate, not mutant, with a skin condition, this could work out well.  Throw on Records on File and Hunted, both with UniOmni, and you got yourself the Merc with a Mouth and a whole slew of adventures waiting to happen.

As for Beast, I'd suggest the Haruman dwarf metavariant.  Trick out as an adept, technomancer, or augment based on flavor.

Beast could be made with a SURGEd Adept.
Get Mind over Matter and max out Logic (Beast is smart, right?) while dumping Agi (which now becomes linked to the Logic stat anyways). This gives him enough smarts be be good at hardware, electronics, hacking and other sciency stuff too.

Deadpool's off-the-charts regen is impossible to achieve in SR. (And that's a good thing.) The spirit pact thing might make sense if the Spirit is actually the GM... Isn't the merc with a mouth always breaking the fourth wall anyway?
